Das Restaurant befindet sich im ehemaligen Industriekomplex der FAG Kugelfischer. Parkplätze vor dem Restaurant sind ausreichend vorhanden. Um hineinzukommen, muß man erst eine Treppe erklimmen, geschätzt 1 Stockwerk. Ob es einen Aufzug gibt für gehbehinderte Kunden oder gar Rollstuhlfahrer, weiß ich nicht. Vielleicht meldet sich jemand vom Restaurant bei mir, ich würde dann den Text anpassen.

Wir waren hier zu fünft, um im kleinen Kreis die diamantene Hochzeit meiner Eltern mit einem wunderbaren Essen zu feiern. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Alles, wirklich alles war perfekt. Als Aperitiv wählten wir dem Anlaß angemessen Champagner.

Die Karte bestand an unserem Tag aus nur zwei Seiten. Links das Fünfgängemenue, von denen man einen oder zwei abwählen konnte, was das Menü günstiger macht. Allerdings wollten wir statt des Rehs lieber etwas anderes. Die sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Servicekraft ging in die Küche, um bei Herrn Matreux nachzufragen. Kein Problem, also wählen wir die Bresse-Taube. Ich finde sehr kleine Karten sehr gut. So kann der Chef (Koch) super frische Gerichte anbieten, so auch heute. Küche ist klassisch französisch. Wer Schnitzel im XXL-Format erwartet, ist hier verkehrt. Auch wer es eilig hat, soll lieber zu einer Burgerbude öder Dönerstand gehen. Die Weinkarte ist dafür umso größer. Leider kann ich keine Aussage über den Inhalt treffen, ich war der Fahrer… Aber die anderen haben ihren Tropfen gefunden.

Zu Beginn wurde mit dem Aperitiv ein kleiner Brotkorb mit Butter serviert. Und dann kam der Gruß aus der Küche. Die Fotos zeigen den weiteren Speisenverlauf.

Was soll ich sagen. WOW!!! Herr Matreux hat uns vollends überzeugt. Nicht nur war alles sehr schön angerichtet, der Gaumen signalisiert Geschmacksorgasmus. Klar, es gibt immer Bestandteile eines Menüs, die einem nicht so zusagen. Mir hat z. B. die Praline von der Gänseleber beim Vorspeisengang nicht besonders zugesagt, mein Bruder war begeistert.

Der Service war unaufdringlich, dennoch sehr aufmerksam.

Preisniveau etwas erhöht, aber trotzdem preiswert, berücksichtigt man Frische, Qualität, Anrichteweise. Fünfgängemenüs bei den berühmten Köchen kosten gerne mal locker das doppelte.

Man sollte sich ein solches Erlebnis viel öfters gönnen!

The restaurant is located in the former FAG Kugelfischer industrial complex. There are enough parking spaces in front of the restaurant. To get in you first have to climb a flight of stairs, approximately 1 floor. I don't know whether there is an elevator for customers with walking difficulties or even wheelchair users. Maybe someone from the restaurant will contact me and I would then adapt the text.

Five of us were here to celebrate my parents' diamond wedding with a wonderful meal in a small circle. We weren't disappointed. Everything, really everything was perfect. As an aperitif we chose champagne, appropriate for the occasion.

On our day the map only consisted of two pages. On the left is the five-course menu, of which you could choose one or two, which makes the menu cheaper. However, we wanted something else instead of the deer. The very friendly and attentive service person went into the kitchen to ask Mr. Matreux. No problem, so we choose the Bresse pigeon. I think very small cards are very good. So the boss (cook) can offer super fresh dishes, like today. Cuisine is classic French. If you're expecting schnitzel in XXL format, you've come to the wrong place. Even if you're in a hurry, it's better to go to a burger joint or a boring kebab stand. The wine list is even larger. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the contents, I was the driver... But the others found their drink.

At the beginning, a small bread basket with butter was served with the aperitif. And then the greeting came from the kitchen. The photos show the further course of the meal.

What can I say? WOW!!! Mr. Matreux completely convinced us. Not only was everything beautifully presented, the palate signals a taste orgasm. Sure, there are always parts of a menu that you don't really like. I have e.g. For example, I didn't particularly like the goose liver praline in the starter course, but my brother was thrilled.

The service was unobtrusive, yet very attentive.

Price level is a little higher, but still inexpensive, taking into account freshness, quality and presentation. Five-course meals from famous chefs can easily cost twice as much.

You should treat yourself to an experience like this more often!

Schweinfurt ist nicht ohne Grund als Industriestadt bekannt. Diese Spitzenlokal befindet sich direkt neben Schaeffler und eine große Metalltreppe führt zur Eingangstür. Leider habe ich vergessen zu fragen ob es auch einen barrierefreien Zugang gibt. Das wäre sicher für den ein oder anderen Gast von Bedeutung.

Der Gastraum wirkt wie ein umgebauter Büroraum zu einem Restaurant. Ansonsten ist alles stilvoll eingerichtet, zwischen den Tischen ist genügend Platz und Trennwände sorgen ebenfalls für mehr Privatsphäre.
Der Service ist perfekt, auch bei Nachfragen und Empfehlungen unterstützen sie, wissen aber auch sich im Hintergrund zu halten.

Die Grüße der Küche sind ein Genuss. Das Bib Gourment Menu ebenfalls genauso zu empfehlen wie die gewöhnliche Karte. Wer nach Vorspeise und Hauptgang noch ein Dessert schafft wird auch verwöhnt ansonsten haben sie auch eine exzellente Kaffeemaschine.

Preis-Leistung exzellent. Die Lokalität und industrielle Umgebung/Flair ein wenig seltsam, aber leider nicht änderbar.

It's not without reason that Schweinfurt is known as an industrial city. This top eatery is located right next to Schaeffler and a large metal staircase leads to the front door. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask whether there is also barrier-free access. That would certainly be important for one or two guests.

The guest room looks like an office space converted into a restaurant. Otherwise everything is stylishly furnished, there is enough space between the tables and partitions also ensure more privacy.
The service is perfect, they also provide support with questions and recommendations, but they also know how to stay in the background.

The greetings from the kitchen are a pleasure. The Bib Gourment Menu is also just as recommended as the usual menu. Anyone who manages to have a dessert after the starter and main course will also be spoiled. They also have an excellent coffee machine.

Excellent value for money. The location and industrial environment/feel a little strange, but unfortunately it can't be changed.
