Wir waren vor einiger Zeit hier und haben das vorzügliche Essen genossen. Der Service ist super freundlich und schnell. Leider stehen die Tische etwas zu eng beieinander, sodass man man sich beim Aufstehen durchzwängen muss.

Auf der Heimreise machten wird noch einen dreitägigen Zwischenstopp im Posthotel Alexander Herrmann inkl. dem bebuchte Arrangement "SPECIAL DATE" . Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein präsentierte sich das Hotel im Ortskern von Wirsberg bereits von außen sehr einladend. Große alte Baume, ein schöner Brunnen, gut beschilderte Wanderwege und ein Biergarten laden zum Spazierengehen und Verweilen ein. Hotel und die Restaurants haben zwar jeweils einen separaten Eingang sind jedoch im Innenbereich miteinander verbunden. Am ersten Abend gab es ein 3 Gänge Menü um Restaurant „oma & enkel“. Uns wurde ein sehr schöner Tisch direkt am Fenster über dem Bach zugewiesen. Das Ganze Restaurant spiegelt das Motto des Namens „oma & enkel“. Ob Lampen aus Teegeschirr, Kissen mit gestickten Namen von Omas Gerichten, Omas Sprüche an Wand und Decke oder schöne alte Bilder. Jeder Gang des Menüs bestand jeweils aus 3 Tapas aus Omas Küche. Nur lokale Produkte perfekt zubereitest du wunderschön angerichtete. Ein toller Abend, der jede Tapasschale zu einem kleinen Erlebnis werden lies. Alles war perfekt!

On the way home we made a three-day stopover at the Posthotel Alexander Herrmann including the booked “SPECIAL DATE” package. In bright sunshine, the hotel in the center of Wirsberg looked very inviting from the outside. Large old trees, a beautiful fountain, well-marked hiking trails and a beer garden invite you to take a walk and linger. The hotel and the restaurants each have a separate entrance, but are connected to each other indoors. On the first evening there was a 3-course menu in the “oma & enkel” restaurant. We were assigned a very nice table right by the window over the stream. The entire restaurant reflects the motto of the name “grandma & grandson”. Whether lamps made from tea sets, cushions with embroidered names of grandma's dishes, grandma's sayings on the wall and ceiling or beautiful old pictures. Each course of the menu consisted of 3 tapas from grandma's kitchen. Only local products are perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. A great evening that turned every tapas bowl into a small experience. Everything was perfect!

Leider eine sehr durchwachsene Erfahrung. Zunächst das positive: Das Essen ist gut und mit hochwertigen, frischen Zutaten zubereitet.

Der Service ist freundlich aber unterbesetzt man merkt dass die Leute im Stress sind, eine Bedienung mehr würde gut tun und Fehler vermeiden, wie bei uns vergessene Weine und ein falsch serviertes Gericht. Das Hauptproblem lag bei unserem Besuch am Ambiente, das Restaurant war voll ausgelastet und es herrschte ein extrem hohes Geräuschniveau wie in einer Großraumkantine. Bei der Musik die zusätzlich noch lief hat man kein einziges Lied erkannt, es klang aber nach einem seltsamen Mix da man abwechselnd je nach Lied ein paar hohe Klaviertöne und dann wieder nur Bassgewummer hören konnte was die Akustik weiter verschlechterte. Das Problem liegt in meinen Augen daran, dass der Raum akustisch schlecht gestaltet ist und zu viele Leute zu dicht sitzen (bei den 4er Tischen Rückenlehne an Rückenlehne). Wir wollten ein entspanntes Dinner zu zweit genießen und unser Tisch wurden ungefragt mit einem anderen 2er Tisch zusammengestellt. Das geht einfach gar nicht bei einem Preis von über 100€ pro Person, will man nicht jedes Wort des Nachbartisches hören und sich auch in Ruhe unterhalten können und einen schönen Abend verbringen. Im Endeffekt war der Abend dadurch verdorben, wir sind nach dem Hauptgericht gegangen, preislich für das gebotene vollkommen überteuert. Es gibt weit bessere Restaurants in dieser Preiskategorie und auch für weniger Geld.

Unfortunately a very mixed experience. First the positive: The food is good and prepared with high-quality, fresh ingredients.

The service is friendly but understaffed, you can tell that people are under stress, more service would be good and avoid mistakes, such as forgotten wines and an incorrectly served dish. The main problem during our visit was the ambience, the restaurant was at full capacity and there was an extremely high level of noise, like in an open-plan canteen. With the music that was also playing, you couldn't recognize a single song, but it sounded like a strange mix because, depending on the song, you could alternately hear a few high piano tones and then only bass rumbling, which further worsened the acoustics. In my opinion, the problem is that the room is acoustically poorly designed and too many people sit too close together (backrest to backrest on the 4-seater tables). We wanted to enjoy a relaxed dinner for two and our table was put together with another table for two without asking. That's simply not possible at a price of over €100 per person, if you don't want to hear every word from the table next to you and also want to be able to chat in peace and have a nice evening. In the end the evening was spoiled because we went after the main course, which was completely overpriced for what was on offer. There are far better restaurants in this price range and for less money.
