Usually here mornings, not crowded or loud. But sometimes surprisingly slow. I just get espresso here, which is middle of the road. Nuthin' special. Never get food, but the cakes look good.

I don't know which oat milk they used for my non-dairy cappuccino but it tasted horrible: too waterish, too sweet and with a chemical aftertaste. I asked for a large size, but the cup they gave me, was much smaller than in other places, when you order the big one. I'm very sad to put 3 stars because I really like the atmosphere here

At first glance (and visit) I thought to myself..."how could anyone hate on this place!?" It's so lovely and vibrant and buzzing and cool. Approved by the Hipster Association Berlin. HAB! And it is. A bit too cool for school. As it were. Sometimes the staff is super nice and friendly and other times you'll feel like you've interrupted an episode of The Real World Berlin. Sometimes snobby, sometimes fantastic. The upside? Plenty of tables, outlets, work space, energy, creativity, networking opps, clean bathrooms, decent light food options, fresh juices, etc. The downside? The 'tude. It is out in full effect. Still, I enjoyed several afternoons here. Even when the guy yelled at me for drinking my own water...even though...they have free tap water. Still. I enjoyed it. I get the policy, bro...no need to freak. We've got everything under control.

We came here just to have dessert and hang out. I liked the vibe of the place but mostly I like the fact that lots of cafés in Berlin serve alcoholic beverages and are therefore more like bars at night. And so unlike NY, you can actually go to places like these after dark, have a glass of wine, and quietly read a book. I didn't get to check out the food selection too much but I did have a slice of chocolate cake that had dark cherries and hot pepper and the combination was awesome! If I lived in Berlin if definitely be hanging out at these places.

When a place is overpriced, overhipped and overrated. But what monkey see, monkey do. Coffee is better in the Vietnamese shop next to it. Location is great, of course.

Awesome spot to work out of or just get a coffee and chat. It is full of techies and hipsters. The croissants are great, the cappuccino is excellent, and you can get a bottle of evian water for a pretty reasonable price here... all surrounded by a sleek, stylish yet retro european feel.

Had a cappuccino and the homemade Shoko-kirsch Chili cake. It was amazing...sweet and chocolatey with a spicy chili aftertaste....whoever made that cake is a wild genius. Hard to find a place to sit though, very busy!

Loved this place! Good Riesling and they had vegan sandwiches. First time I visited this place and the people working there were really nice. We felt very welcome. Nice atmosphere and there was both a café and a bar so it's good for both daytime and evening either you're working on your laptop having a coffee or going out for a glass of wine.

Yeah, St. Oberholz, you're alright. But you are definitely not as awesome as you THINK you are. First of all, your customer service is wayyyy snottier than anything I've experienced here in Berlin. I know there can be some usage-discrepancies when it comes to foreign languages, but you don't have to stare me down like I'm a total freaking moron for trying to use my (fairly good) German. And then you snap at the next member of our party, for pointing to a type of foccacia in YOUR deli that YOU can't seem to identify? Schade. Also, for a self-service place, it's usually helpful when busy to form a line. But there is no clear place to do so inside St. Oberholz...you either sort of approach the counter from whatever side seems to open...and hope the people working there serve you next. When drinks and eats are ready, the serving process is just as chaotic as the ordering. So how is it that you, St. Oberholz, are in any way redeeming? Wellllll...that crazy foccacia I had (which I also apparently can't pronounce) was DELISH. I mean, meaty, cheesy, with the right amount of tomato and greens thrown in, and the bread had the perfect crunch. I recall actually wanting to devour two of these sandwiches, but didn't have the guts to order another one. Can't go outin' myself ALL over town as a total fatty, 24/7. Will I be back? Hmm. Despite the fact I was ready to eat said sandwich x 2, I really want nothing to do with the staff behind the counter. Admittedly, I might dream about that frickin' foccacia. But my future reality might not accommodate this particular fantasy...ahhhhh well.
