Visited in winter, so my experience might differ a little. Many smaller gardens were closed or didn't look as intended because of water bodies in them which were empty. Overall the place is huge and still looks good though. Not many people, at least early in the morning.

The price I paid (4 Euros) is okay, given the amount of maintenance the place needs. My main complaint about it is workers. There are a lot of them around and they race their golf cars way too fast on the park trails, I've seen some riding like 25-30 km/h a half meter away from me. Some of them also gave me very unfriendly stares, which is especially unsettling in a place like this where you're supposed to relax. Noisy construction and maintenance works also might ruin the atmosphere because everything is performed during opening times. Overall, the place is remarkable and nice, but I'm not sure if I would like to return.

Sadly the Japanese and Korean gardens weren’t open yet but still had a beautiful walk with my grandma. Definitely take the lift for some nice views of Berlin and the gardens from above.

solid choice if you want to “travel” around the globe without actually leaving Berlin. But let me warn you right away: pick spring, summer, or autumn. Winter? Forget it. Winter in Berlin is only good for one thing—perfecting your seasonal depression. 🥶

So, genius me, I bought tickets for the cable car in advance, thinking I’d be soaring over the park like a king. But guess what? I showed up 7 minutes after it closed. SEVEN. And they were like, “Sorry, not today.” Cool, thanks for that. Walking it is. 🚶‍♂️

Pro tip: pack some snacks and have a picnic there. Seriously, there’s nothing like sitting on the grass with your sandwich, pretending you’re a sophisticated explorer of cultural landscapes. Everyone else will be walking around with their cameras, and you? You’ll be living your best life on a blanket. 🧺

Also, there’s a tea house! If you’re into Chinese culture or just love tea like I love caffeine, this spot is a winner. It’s got all the vibes, great tea, and you’ll feel like you’ve teleported to Beijing for a second. 🍵

Gardens of the World is a hidden gem in Berlin. I visited during last winter, which meant many gardens were closed. Despite this, the experience was still enjoyable.
The open areas were beautifully maintained. Bare trees and frost-covered grounds had their own charm.
The Chinese garden was a highlight. Its architecture and layout were peaceful, even in winter. The Balinese garden's water features added a soothing atmosphere.
Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They provided interesting facts about the gardens' designs and plants.
This park offers a unique way to explore different cultures through landscape design. Each garden tells a story.
Winter visit had its perks: fewer crowds and a serene atmosphere. However, I'm excited to return in summer to see everything in full bloom and explore the closed sections.
Great for a relaxing day out, even off-season. Bring a camera - there are many photo opportunities. Allow at least 2-3 hours to fully appreciate the open areas. Oh and bring your own food - sadly the canteen offering is underwhelming to say. Coffee is good though.
