Great location and landmarks’ views (at least some of the rooms). Was first attracted to it by its interior design and colors. However, I was a bit let down upon arrival, as I believe it looks much more lively and spacious on the photos. The common use lobby area, where the Reception is, is admittedly quite small. The framed photographs all around the hotel were interesting though.
In addition, the Housekeeping service was not always up to par - something which is not acceptable for a 5* star and the corresponding rates it charges (the level of cleanliness was not always as it should be, plus they would forget to replace amenities, one day - we stayed for 6 nights and occupied the King Suite and a Queen double room with balcony and landmark view, they didn’t even make my youngest daughter’s bed, which was also quite uncomfortable I may add).
The reception and restaurant staff were friendly and smiling - which was a refreshing note in Berlin where the locals are gloomy and rude. Not always knowledgeable, we got misinformed on a couple of occasions, but at least they tried to be of assistance.
Breakfast was comprehensive, I believe it catered to most tastes and preferences. They even had honeycomb, and their poached eggs were cooked to perfection. But they did not have freshly squeezed juices - which was a foul.
They also have a gym / yoga area / sauna and steam bath, which is a nice place if once would like to relax.
In all, I would say that it is a central, safe and quiet option.

Recently, I stayed at Hotel Luc and was very pleased with my stay. A big part of that was the incredibly warm welcome from Clemens, a member of the reception team. He spoke so passionately about the hotel, helped with all my questions, and, following the hotel’s tradition, treated me to champagne. A wonderful welcome and a fantastic team!

We only stayed one night here, but it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to everything we wanted to see and do, making it easy to explore the city.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. They greeted us with a glass of champagne to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday, which set such a special tone for our stay. The service was outstanding—attentive and genuinely friendly.

Breakfast was another highlight. The selection was beyond impressive; they had everything from truffle cheese to a full honeycomb, fresh pastries, and a wide variety of other gourmet options. It felt like a five-star experience just to start the day!

The room was comfortable and beautifully stocked with thoughtful details: an iron, ironing board, umbrella, and an excellent selection of coffee and tea. Small touches like these made our stay feel extra luxurious.

This hotel is a lovely oasis in a great location in Berlin. The rooms are gorgeous with wonderful beds and great towels in the bathroom. All the things that make a hotel one worth going to again and again. The staff were so friendly. We felt like special guests. I have no doubt the staff treats every guest this way. Also, don't miss the breakfast. While breakfast in a hotel can often be the same everywhere and not at all interesting. Hotel Luc knows how to start your day well. This will be my favourite hotel in Berlin.
