Loved this hotel. Spent 5 nights there whilst visiting friends in Berlin. A beautiful building that has been renovated to a high standard.

Very comfy beds and lovely bedding / towels. The rooms are serviced well every day. Great walk in rain shower. GHD hairdryer a bonus. Coffee machine and kettle also in room.

Excellent buffet breakfast with eggs cooked fresh as per your liking. Staff at breakfast were particularly friendly and breakfast runs from 6.30 am to 11.30am - a beautiful breakfast room with huge palm plants and great decor.

Special shout out for the young Sicilian man on reception who was really helpful offering tips on restaurants and places to visit.

The fitness room was large with good facilities however they didn't seem to have towels in the morning for hotel guests or keys for the lockers there when my husband used it. Not the end of the world but something to be aware of as you need to go outide of the building to gain access.

Very close to Museum Island and Monbijou Park with plenty of bars and restaurants near by.

Incredible and comfortable experience! Great location, and the restaurant isn't bad. Loved our room, especially the bed and the shower. Most comfortable bed of my life- king sized, soft sheets, supportive and squishy mattress- I was sad to leave.

Style over substance. Beautiful renovation, great bar, bedrooms look great but for a frequent traveller this was a very disappointing stay for the high price, as the basics were missing. My first night I was given the wheelchair access room, I don't know why, the hotel wasn't full. Fortunately I don't need an adapted toilet or a low level sink or an automatic door that anyway kept jamming and a small tv so badly positioned so that I imagine if you were in a wheelchair would be difficult to see. I was moved for the second night. This was fine. But asked if I could connect my Netflix etc to the TV I was told "our IT department has stopped all that because it causes too many problems" . Want to charge your phone? Don't plug it into the socket by the bed, because when you switch off the lights with the switch by the bed it also turns off the socket. It's really annoying when you wake-up and your phone hasn't charged. But the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was good. And please, some normal tea-bags not just fruit infused whatever!
So, all those little things a high-end hotel should get right the Telegraphenamt doesn't. If you're in town as a couple for the weekend it probably does the job. But if you spend a lot of your life in hotels then try elsewhere.

We stayed 2 nights at the Telegraphenamt. Our room had a view onto the Fernsehturm – stunning view by night. Overall, a 4 star stay. My review in detail see below with a noteworthy comment regarding food for babies and pricing.

#1 Value for money
Yes it’s pricy and to me and my wife this price was not met by the level of service and customer centricity.
Location wise the hotel is absolutely sublime.

#2 Service
The service was – in my opinion – stereotypical Berlin-quality. The staff barely smiled, had good punchlines, were dedicated to their task, and were very easy to chat to and interact with.

Fun fact: They give babies/kids as a gift. It’s a teddy bear wearing a T-shirt lettering Telegraphenamt.

This is where I deducted the 1 star:
We had a used underwear in our wardrobe and let the reception know. It took us to attempts to have the management make up reasonable compensation. They brought a bottle of sparkling wine in the middle of the day. I find it quite funny that they think we would do day-drinking with a little daughter with us. Well, Berlin I reckon.
Also the service staff in the restaurant was nice and friendly but not capable of delivering all orders at the same time. Also they just straight up lied about the amount of time it still takes to have the food at our table.

#3 Restaurant
Decent, nothing fancy. Quality is good and expectable for the prices they ask.
Attention for food for babies: We don’t serve our sub 1-year-old daughter food with salt. The kitchen had only carrots as a non-already prepared veggie without salt. Not even a simple potato was available. That to me was a little unexpected for this level of hotel.

#4 Architecture and interior
It’s all so well thought through, executed, and modernised. Especially the little details throughout the venue and room made me smile. Check the photos for details.
One example: They place a little card next to the telephone in the room. This card is a reminiscence to the old capsule pipelines of the Telegraphenamt.

Fabulous hotel. Perfect location. Rooms are beautiful.  Service is beyond, everyone is so nice and helpful. The front desk staff could not be more friendly or helpful.
