Potsdamer Platz felt like a major letdown. Once rich in history, it's now just a busy intersection surrounded by modern buildings and chain restaurants. There’s little left of its past charm or significance—just a commercialized space that feels more like a business district than a cultural site. If you're short on time in Berlin, I'd recommend skipping it.

I simply cannot believe the incredible transformation of this central hub of Berlin, known for many years as Germany‘s largest construction site.
This area languished for decades as it was caught between the East/West divide that cut through Berlin (the local subway stop was a Geisterbahnhof - a ghost station - that was inoperable because the platform was on the communist side of the border) and after reunification it took some time to rebuild.
It’s splendid now and worth a visit, though the locals look down on it as a tourist destination, similar to Times Square.

Surreal infrastructure! Tall buildings with great views! A true infrastructural forest! Panaroma tower has the fastest elevator in Europe, worth a ride and you even get student discounts! The view from the top is impressive too! I'd suggest this for one of the best places or things to do in Berlin! Sunday was relatively easy to access with almost no waiting periods!

This is a Downtown of Berlin. As Like you cant see the hustle bustle as in Neukölln, it is quite  different vibe check. From restaurants to Berlin’s biggest Shopping mall to near by Brandenburger Gate. Its perfect to visit at sunset.

Potsdamer Platz: where the wind hits your face, your wallet, and your will to stay longer than 20 minutes.

This is Berlin’s attempt at a skyscraper district—minus the skyscrapers, but with plenty of glass, concrete, and the charming atmosphere of a corporate conference. My friend, who grew up by the sea, swears the wind here is unnatural. Like someone messed with the city’s feng shui and now we’re all being punished with side-blasting gusts.

Need food? Sure, if you’re into overpriced fast food in a shiny food court that feels like an airport lounge with commitment issues. There are a couple of sit-down restaurants, but they also seem to think a burger should cost as much as a therapy session.

Probably a fun spot for tourists who want to say they’ve seen “modern Berlin.” And great for office workers who have no choice but to be here. But if you’re not in either category? There’s really not much to do, unless getting windburn while looking for a toilet is your idea of adventure.
