A beautiful park. I love a lot of things about this Park. There is a pond full of ducks, they are so lovely. The park is clean, feels safe, and there's always people running or sitting on the benches.

I visited on weekdays and in the afternoon so not a lot of people around. Also there are a couple of restaurants around that you'll love.

It is so beautiful and the paths through the park are good to practice my daily running and watch the birds and appreciate the plants all around. Very well kept.

Small cozy park in Steglitz for an afternoon walk. It has playground for kids and children and some tennis tables for adults. A few small ponds make it more special as one sees docks swimming. I wished it was more cleaner and had more public amenities e.g. toilets, cafes etc.

Great park in Steglitz. It has children’s play area, well maintained. Has good running trails and small ponds. Very neat and feels safe.

At the age of 40, Franz Kafka, who never got married and had no children, went through the Berliner Steglitz-Park, when he met a young girl who cried her eyes out because she had lost her favorite doll. She and Kafka were unsuccessfully searching for the doll. Kafka told her to meet him there the next day and they would look again.
The next day, when they still hadn't found the doll, Kafka gave the girl a letter "written" by the doll saying, "Please don't cry." I went on a journey to see the world. I'll write to you about my adventures. "
This is how a story began that continued to the end of Kafka's life.
When they met, Kafka read his carefully written letters with adventures and conversations about the beloved doll who found the girl charming. Finally Kafka read her a letter with the story that brought the doll back to Berlin, and then gifted her a doll that he had bought.
“She doesn’t look like my doll at all,” she said. Kafka handed her another letter explaining: "My travels, they have changed me. "The girl hugged the new doll and took her home." One year later, Kafka died.
Many years later, the now grown-up girl found a letter in an unnoticed column of the doll. The tiny letter written by Kafka said, "Everything you love is probably lost, but in the end, love will return in a different way." "
