The menu at UUU is a carefully curated tasting experience, featuring nine exquisite courses that change regularly to reflect the seasons. Each dish is a masterpiece, showcasing the chef's deep understanding of Chinese culinary traditions. Highlights include the hand-pulled noodles, which are expertly crafted and served with a rich, savory broth that warms the soul. Really intimate dining space with a huge focus on tea and traditional Chinese food. The teas were fantastic and it was clear the owners were extremely knowledgeable. A lot of care went into the preparation. The food was also amazing - each dish had a history/tie to a region in China and there were no compromises on flavor. The main negative for me was that the teas did not feel like they were soecifically paired with the food and the portions were tiny - we left quite hungry.

I really wanted it to be special, but in the end, the experience felt like it didn't live up to its expectations and high price. Some of the courses were very good (but not breathtaking), and some were just average. For example, the noodles didn't seem more special than any others I've tried in a decent hand-pulled noodle shop before. I was missing rice, and also, any kind of dumplings were not on the menu, although they are highly praised in the reviews. The desserts were very good and felt like they are on a higher level of technique.

The portions were very small, and the menu included only 9 of them, no bread, appetizers, or anything else you usually get on a tasting menu. From the nine, three were desserts. I didn't arrive extremely hungry, but after 3 hours, I was very hungry and actually went for a second dinner around the corner.

The service was very nice but not very professional. The explanation about the tea pairing seemed to me much more knowledgeable than the explanations about the food. We decided to take some of the drinks (8 EUR each for about one wineglass portion), and we were sometimes not asked if we were interested in that one. A written menu wasn't served at the start or at the end of the dinner, and it's also not published on the website.

I'm definitely not an expert on Chinese cuisine, but it feels like there's a big room for improvement or a serious reduction in price.

Chef Yuhang and Jonas truly create an unforgettable experience like nothing else we've tried in Berlin or more broadly. We've dined here on several occasions (vegetarian menu included) and loved it so much we asked them to cater a private event, which left everyone in attendance speechless.

Each course is imaginatively created, the ingredients thoughtfully sourced (and explained), the dishes beautifully presented, and the flavors perfectly executed. The entire evening is a journey through various regions of China, somewhat reconceptualized and unique, and the continuously evolving menu means you will be continuously surprised with each visit.

The setting is intimate and beautiful, as though you're dining in a friend's living room (albeit an incredibly gifted friend with impeccable taste). Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Side note: make sure to go before they switch out their creative interpretation of a Dan Ta (Chinese egg tart).

Exploring the essence of Chinese cuisine, the chef has such deep understanding of Chinese cooking: everything starts with seasonal ingredients from local sources, every steps done by herself, lead you to notice all the nuances of taste that you overlooked before. Friendly and knowledgeable services, every course is paired with tea or kombucha made of the highest quality tea leaves, some times from one single tea tree. Lovely atmosphere with other guests, as you are all on the same amazing journey.

The most mazing food and pairing if you are into Chinese cuisine! We had a vegan menu and every plate of 9 dishes was so thoughtful and delicious, representing and/or combining different regions and techniques of Chinese cuisine, and the pairing consisting of 6 teas complements the dishes just perfectly. If you are into gong fu tea, definitely a must try. Founders Yuhang and Jonas, who run the place, are super nice, friendly and passionate about their place. One of the best fine dining experiences so far.
