We’ve been to Barra twice now, and both times the entire team has knocked it out of the park. The food is absolutely superb—every dish bright and well-balanced. The wine is unique and exciting, and they even suggested half glasses so we could try lots of different clever pairings (utterly genius). To top it all off, this place would be worth going to just for the ambiance and staff even if the food was garbage, which it most certainly is not. Andy showed us a great time and we will definitely come back over and over. Sit at the bar, you won’t regret it. Wish I could give them six stars.

A standout relaxed restaurant in Berlin.
If you are after great food in a relaxed environment then you'll love it here.

The atmosphere: we sat on the bar watching the chefs and chatting to the front of the house team. Everyone was super friendly, you have plenty of space and the opportunity to relax.

The food: this restaurant was a recommendation from a friend so we didn't know what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised.
The dishes are small plates designed for sharing between two. This was perfect because we got to try a fair few dishes without getting overly full.
Every plate of food had an amazing amount of flavour. It was also obvious that they took great care to choose ingredients well and work with the seasons.
The steak is an absolute must.  Pricey but so worth it.
There was also a marigold and peach dessert on the menu which I would 100% never opt for but turned out to be one of my favourites.

Give it a go. It's a great place.

An exceptional experience! We would come back every day of the week but we don’t live in Berlin. 😅
We ordered the entire menu and it was delicious throughout its entirety. Flavors were building up over time and there were some pretty nice surprises.
Their wine list is also very exciting and we trusted the staff with some nice recommendations.

I recently visited Barra in Berlin to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, and it was an amazing experience! The restaurant has a really cool vibe with minimalistic design, and the music sets the perfect mood. The service was excellent—our waiter was not only polite and attentive but also very knowledgeable, especially about the interesting selection of fine wines. The food quality was superb, with most dishes designed to share, creating a nice balance between fine dining and a more casual restaurant feel. Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and I highly recommend Barra for special occasions or a night out with friends!

Overall, we had a lovely evening and will definitely come back. Great atmosphere, service (especially the sommelier!) and wine.

The„wow“ of the dishes however varied quite a bit in our opinion.

There were some absolute stunners: oysters, mussels, ricotta ice cream on almond cake(!).

Superb oyster and topping.

The dessert was honestly one of the best I ever had. Great fig, almond, ricotta combo. Amazing texture on the cake. Excellent altogether.

The mussels were cooked to the point with a delicious smoky butter sauce. Loved the cidre touch.

The „good“ dishes: chanterelle with egg yolk, tagliolini, corn, tomato & nectarine salad, tuna and olive oil peach dessert.

The chanterelle dish was nicely presented however lacked some finesse/complexity. 2/3 of us felt that the taste was rather simple: earthy, with a slight acidic, umami tang - but overall too subtle, not much going on.

Tagliolini: delicious, however, besides the mini spice kick from the Ndjua it honestly felt like every other good fresh tomato pasta.

Corn: tasty. Nice little twist with the majoran butter but did not wow - char looked nice though flavor-wise the smokiness did not really come through. Quite difficult to eat as it was served on the cob.

Tomato & nectarine: fresh, great produce and fun to eat.

Peach olive oil cake: although I love sweet olive oil dishes this was too much.

Tuna: delicious, fresh.
