Excellent food, nice cosy atmosphere, friendly & professional service. We have tried everything in the area (been around more then 10 years) and for sure this is for us the best place around for quality food.

Für mich der Missing Link zwischen gutbürgerlicher Küche und Michelin-Stern Küche. Leckeres , bodenständiges Essen, es wird versucht besondere Speisen zu kreieren und das muss man in Celle würdigen. Ein Gebiet wo Landwirtschaft und Provinz vorherrschen. Es ist dafür wirklich schön und außergewöhnlich. Schade, dass der Dessert so sehr lange hat warten lassen und das nie nach neuen Getränken gefragt wurde. Ich würde wiederkommen l, aber für fünf Sterne müsst ihr noch was draufpacken.

For me it's the missing link between home-style cooking and Michelin star cuisine. Delicious, down-to-earth food, they try to create special dishes and that has to be appreciated in Celle. An area where agriculture and province predominate. It is really beautiful and extraordinary. It's a shame that the dessert took so long to arrive and that new drinks were never asked for. I would come back l, but for five stars you have to add something else.

Das Esszimmer strahlt eine gediegene Eleganz aus, ein Ambiente, in dem man sich als Gast gleich wohl fühlt. Verstärkt wird das heimelige Gefühl anschließend durch den freundlichen, kommunikativen Service-Mann, der schnell und aufmerksam agiert. Irgendwie schafft er es, einem das Gefühl zu geben, man sei sein persönlicher Gast, um den er sich besonders kümmert- obwohl wir bemerkten, dass er sich bei allen anderen ebenso verhielt. Also im zwischenmenschlichen Menü stimmte alles, 5 Sterne!
Wir hatten jeweils unterschiedliche Menüs mit Weinbegleitung- und waren nicht nur satt, sondern auch sehr zufrieden. Die Portionen waren erfreulich, man fühlte sich nicht veräppelt wie sonst gern in Restaurants mit diesem Anspruch.
Die Qualität der Speisen war durchweg gut. Allerdings fanden wir den Ruccola-Salat mit der eingelegten Birne etwas zu süß. Und die Jakobsmuschel überzeugte in ihrer Darbietung etwas mehr als im Geschmack, auch hier waren die durchaus kreativen Saucenkleckse dazu einfach zu süßlich. Dafür war das Fleisch bei den Hauptgängen auf den Punkt perfekt, ebenso alles, was sich in hübschen Anordnungen dazu gesellte. Die Desserts- Sorbet und Creme Brulee - haben uns einen versöhnlichen Abschluß beschert.
Außergewöhnlich, und sogar ein klein bisschen besser als das Essen, fanden wir die Weine (sorry) und wir haben so manch überraschende Entdeckung gemacht. Alles in allem: Ein ruhiges, vornehmes Restaurant, das ohne viel ChiChi sehr gutes Essen serviert. Die etwas konventionellen Speisen und die fehlende Raffinesse sind vielleicht auch ein Tribut an das Publikum der niedersächsischen Kleinstadt.

The dining room exudes a sophisticated elegance, an ambience in which you as a guest immediately feel at home. The homely feeling is then reinforced by the friendly, communicative service man who acts quickly and attentively. Somehow he manages to make you feel like you are his personal guest and someone he takes special care of - even though we noticed that he behaved the same way with everyone else. So everything was right in the interpersonal menu, 5 stars!
We each had different menus with wine accompaniment and were not only full, but also very satisfied. The portions were pleasing and you didn't feel like you were being taken for a ride, as you usually do in restaurants with this standard.
The quality of the food was consistently good. However, we found the rocket salad with the pickled pear a bit too sweet. And the scallop was more convincing in its presentation than in its taste; here too, the creative blobs of sauce were simply too sweet. The meat in the main courses was absolutely perfect, as was everything that came with it in pretty arrangements. The desserts - sorbet and creme brulee - gave us a happy ending.
We found the wines exceptional, and even a little bit better than the food (sorry) and we made some surprising discoveries. All in all: A quiet, elegant restaurant that serves very good food without a lot of chichi. The somewhat conventional dishes and the lack of sophistication are perhaps also a tribute to the audience of the small town in Lower Saxony.
