I went to Golden Phoenix with friends yesterday, excited to try their sweet duck. While the taste was good initially, the experience quickly took a turn for the worse. About 30 minutes after eating, both my friend and I experienced severe stomach pains. Unfortunately, the discomfort didn’t pass, and we had to cut our evening short, spending the rest of it in the bathroom. I wouldn’t recommend visiting this restaurant given our unpleasant experience. Taste alone doesn’t make up for the aftermath."

The food was good (mostly) but the service was poor. We arrived quite late but the waiter did not tell us that the kitchen would close soon. We ordered starters (amazing dim sum) but then we were told we could only order mains from the lunch menu. This consisted of chicken stir fry, fries and club sandwiches. The stir-fry was like something from an Imbiss takeaway. It was unbelievable.

We went there to celebrate a birthday and the food was simply delicious. I would have given a 5 Star BUT it wasn’t perfect as one should expect from a restaurant like that one. We waited for about 15 minutes  before a waiter came to our table and he didn’t have the amount of menu cards for all of us because the restaurant was full; I am to the opinion, that the restaurant manager can produce some extra  ones. We ordered a n espresso Martini which was the worst I have ever taken in Berlin. Much too much coffee and taste only coffee. The waiter knew it because we were not the only ones complaining about that. We tried another cocktails which were not much  better. Maybe the barkeeper has a bad day or he should attend more classes. The service at the beginning was really not good but moved on to be  good and the guy was really doing his best.

The food was fantastic, a real delight from the starters to the dessert. The meat was excellently cooked with the foie gras, the duck not greasy as duck tends to be and so tender, the truffle pasta was excellent.. well it was a delight and will definitely try the restaurant again but will go for a bottle of good wine instead of low scales cocktails.

Went with some friends. Food was great and a good variety of things. The presentation was nice. If you eat here you should expect to leave around 100€. Try the multiple course menu is a great choice as it gives you plenty to try as well. The music was rather loud so that a normal conversation during dinner was not possible without raising your voice.

Great bar with very original drinks and fantastic restaurant with open kitchen. We enjoyed every aspect of our experience, from the reservation, host and waiters to the food itself of course! Everything was freshly prepared and of the highest quality.
