Ich hatte schon das Vergnügen seit 1986 regelmäßig mit meinen Eltern dort zu speisen.
Bei besonderen familiären Ereignissen, waren wir auch oft bei Michael Kurlbaum.
Ich hatte letzte Woche meinen 60‘ Geburtstag und nach langer Zeit, war ich mal wieder dort.
Ich kann es kaum in Worte fassen, es war unbeschreiblich köstlich, wir hatten das große Menü, ein fantastischer Genuss.
Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, wann ich in den letzten Jahren so gut gegessen habe.
Definitiv warte ich mit einem Besuch nicht auf meinen nächsten Geburtstag!

I have had the pleasure of dining there regularly with my parents since 1986.
We often visited Michael Kurlbaum for special family events.
It was my 60th birthday last week and after a long time, I was there again.
I can hardly put it into words, it was indescribably delicious, we had the large menu, a fantastic treat.
I can't remember when I've eaten so well in recent years.
I'm definitely not waiting for my next birthday to visit!

Sehr schönes und ausgezeichnetes Essen.

Die Auswahl an nicht alkoholischen Getränken ist leider das übliche. Da haben wir beide viel mehr erwartet.

Aus gegebenem Anlass wollten wir einen besonderen Abend mit besonderen kulinarischen Genüssen verleben. Deshalb unsere Wahl auf das Restaurant "Kurlbaum".
Wir sind zufrieden mit dem Erlebnis.
Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist der Enge der Räumlichkeiten geschuldet als ansprechend zu bewerten. Ich habe allerdings schon bequemer gesessen.
Die angebotenen Menüs (ausschließlich 4-Gänge-Menüs, deren Komponenten noch austauschbar sind - aber keine einzelnen Speisen!) sind von der Zusammenstellung interessant.
Wir hatten uns für das vegetarische und das Monatsmenü entschieden. Siehe die Bilder dazu.
Optisch alles sehr ansprechend angerichtet, fehlte mir beim Monatsmenü das Aha-Erlebnis.
Die Speisen waren alle handwerklich gut zubereitet. Aber das ich vom Geschmack überrascht wurde oder etwas einmaliges genossen hätte, kann ich nicht behaupten. Sehr gute gehobene Küche. Mehr aber nicht.

We are satisfied with the experience.
The service is very courteous and attentive. The ambience of the restaurant can be rated as appealing due to the small space. However, I have been sitting more comfortably.
The menus on offer (exclusively 4-course menus, the components of which are still interchangeable - but no individual dishes!) are interesting in terms of their composition.
We chose the vegetarian and monthly menu. See the pictures.
Everything was visually very appealing, but I missed the aha moment when it came to the monthly menu.
The dishes were all well prepared by hand. But I can't say that I was surprised by the taste or that I enjoyed something unique. Very good fine dining. But nothing more.

Kurlbaum ist in Moers eine kulinarische Institution und das kann ich nur bestätigen. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Der Service empfängt die Gäste herzlich und freundlich und mein weiß direkt es wird richtig gemütlich. Das Essen ist fein und richtig lecker. Nichts auszusetzen. 5 Sterne plus verdient.

Kurlbaum is a culinary institution in Moers and I can only confirm that. You feel very comfortable. The service welcomes the guests in a warm and friendly manner and I know straight away that it will be really cozy. The food is fine and really tasty. Nothing to complain about. 5 stars plus deserved.
