Great place for breakfast. Had the Le Grand. More than enough food for one person. Would definitely recommend.

Too many red flags and misdeeds for me to recommend. I've been going there for over a year once or twice a week. I can negotiate the take out but I would not suggest you eating there. First off, it's pricey. And loud inside with the wood floor, the wood walls, the wood ceiling, and the wood table and chairs. If you want to hear loud Germans talking (boy, do they love to talk and at full volume) be my guest. And then there's the frozen brioche, the stale bread toasted for Sunday brunch (Brot von gestern), the under-cooked croissants, the over-cooked rolls, the slow service and the shady staff turnover - has anybody worked there for more than two months? I haven't seen 'em.

Excellent bakery. I really liked this place. Wonderful bakery items, delicious coffee, good service, and beautiful atmosphere. For our first meal in Frankfurt, this really set the bar high. We had a fabulous breakfast there, and went back for a wonderful lunch too. Loved both meals, as the food was delicious and the service was prompt. Not only that, but all the patrons are gorgeous and endlessly fascinating looking. Ok, from my goofy American perspective, perhaps most Europeans look fabulous and sophisticated, but whatever. At Maison du Pain, they're all beautiful. The beautiful people of Europe surrounded by the beautiful pastry of Frankfurt. Side note: it's a typical European thing to share dining table space. For example, if there's a table for six that is only being occupied by 4 people, it's possible that a party of 2 may join the table. We have such a different concept of personal space in the US when it comes to dining spaces, since dining rooms are typically huge here. But in Europe, space is limited, which means that you may end up doubling up with another group.

My husband and I popped in one evening after dinner for a bottle of wine and some dessert. The wine was fairly priced and the macaroons were great. We also got a raspberry meringue tart and loved it

Excellent choice for tasty coffee and cake or pastries. Even my French friends are satisfied. The cafe has a play corner for smaller children. The terrace is open as early and late in the year as possible. The clientele tends toward 20-30-somethings but not exclusively. All pastries and bread can be bought at the counter for takeaway. Order ahead for party trays. What do I like about this place. The French music is audible enough for ambiance but never too loud. The waiters are very friendly and greet repeat customers with a kind word. The menu has a good range of breakfast and lunch items. The aroma is very inviting. Occasionally they treat you to a macaron or tart. The place is never empty but there's usually a table or half-table free. I think the consistently good food and service speak for themselves.

Solid little cafe spot. The food was very tasty and they have an English menu, which wAs very helpful. Service wAs a little slow and it was a bit unpleasant to share a small outside table with another group that seated themselves at our table in the middle of our meal. All told, the food was good but prob not worth the 20 minute walk we took to get there and have to share a table with others.

The quality of the food is actually pretty good, but the service is incredibly slow and chaotic, and the portions fairly small. While I might recommend this place for picking up french pastries, we will not dine in here anymore.
