Good food, friendly staff and a pleasant and not overpriced wine selection is how I would sum up the restaurant Zum grünen Wald in Kronberg. I have not visited the restaurant often, but every time I was pleasantly surprised. The cuisine is solid and well-prepared in a pleasing atmosphere. The perfect location for a winter-time dinner.

I have had lunch here 3 times now, and it has always been excellent with top friendly service. Recommend the Wiener Schnitzel, Ochsen Bäckchen, and daily fish can also be very good. Reasonable fine wines by the glass and home backed bread round out a most pleasurable luncheon experience!
