Good restaurant in a city that probably lacks of gastronomic experiences like this one. Congratulations on taking the risk, I'm sure the people of Darmstadt appreciate it a lot.

Food was quite good; good flavors and excellent technique. If I have to say something about the food, It'd only be (personal appreciations):

1. It feels too french, heavy and strong sauces in every dish, a lot of dairy. A fresher turnover might be excellent, especially in the vegetarian and pescetarian option.

2. It might be referred to german eating culture, but it'd be great with a fresher start. Maybe raw fish, some acidity, cold dishes.

3. I understand that having 3 different tasting menus is a big play and something quite impossible to have all of them totally different. In some dishes I felt that the composition and flavors of the plate were thought for the meat option, and then just replaced with fish or vegetables for the other 2 types of menu.

4. Some seafood like percebes or scallops are so delicate that they go better with lighter flavors. The quality of those products got lost with the intensity of the sauces.

Service was excellent; probably at a 2-michelin-star level.

Then comes my only real complain. In a Tasting Menu it is crucial the rhythm and pauses between every dish. I don't know if today was an exception due to a contingency, but we had to wait between some dishes almost 30 minutes. A meal that should last 2 hours (or 2 hours 30 min at max) took us 4 hours 30 min! Insane. The joy that food and service gave us was killed after 2 hours for the tremendous delay on every dish.

I mentioned this because if you adjust that timing problem you're on the way to become a great restaurant in the area.

Holy moly.

My first Michelin star experience and it was definitely something special. Tried out their 7 meal course and it was an experience. Very tasty food, obviously small portions compared to normal restaurants but each meal was specially prepared with specific products, also I assume you want to keep space to try everything :)

It was pretty cool how the food was delivered from the chef who explained his choices and the food itself and as a whole the service was absolutely amazing. Also everyone was speaking perfect English, even though their menu online is German only(apparently a flaw of the tech they use, so you can call to get more information for the menu).

Keep in mind that, at least for me, their main 7 course meal took like 3.5 to 4 hours, so be sure you have the time :).

What a great Restaurant to have in Darmstadt. We had a delightful Dining Experience filled with delicious courses and  very attentive staff! I really liked that I was able to switch an item in one of the courses with no hassle at all! Definitely a Destination in Darmstadt.

Exceptional! It is well worth making a trip to Darmstadt for this dining experience. Highly innovative and tasty menu, punching above it's recent 1* Michelin award. Wine pairing was equal to the food with some great matches. Service was friendly (in English and German) and informative throughout, with the chefs themselves coming to the table to explain dishes. And just to add to the perfection the environment was totally relaxed, wear your finest or wear your jeans, it really doesn't matter.

Extraordinary experience and service.
Love to details, very mosern cuisine and tastes though many regional aspects, great and enthusiastic of the dishes by the kitchen chefs - we left after 4hrs in best mood.
