Eye-watering prices for the food. 5 course meal for two along with a bottle of wine was nearing 500€ bill… the entrance to the restaurant is awkward, passing through a narrow and very squeaky door to enter- not fitting my expectations when paying this much for dinner. Our server missed to mention that the “vegetarian” soup contained beef stock. Embarrassing

Wir fanden bis auf das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis alles Bestens. Ein sehr freundlicher und kundiger Service, eine gute Weinbegleitung und ein schönes Ambiente. Das Essen war bis auf die unerklärliche frittierte Kartoffelnocke im Pilz-Gang sehr gut, aber ohne große Aha- Erlebnisse und ohne einen hohen Wareneinsatz. Hier haben wir tatsächlich schon günstiger besser gegessen.

We found everything to be great except for the price-performance ratio. Very friendly and knowledgeable service, good wine accompaniment and a nice ambience. Except for the inexplicable fried potato dumplings in the mushroom aisle, the food was very good, but without any major aha moments and without a high cost of goods. We've actually eaten better here for less.

Es ist natürlich immer schwierig, ein Haus wie dieses auf Google zu bewerten. Verglichen mit vielen Häusern, die hier 5 Sterne und großen Jubel erhalten, erscheint eine 3 Sterne Bewertung sicher unangemessen. Diese 3 Sterne beziehen sich daher auf den kolportierten Anspruch eines Hauses, in dem sich der Küchenchef selbst Künstler nennt und welches in der Region sicher Preisführer ist und wohl erst von Promilokalen in Berlin oder Prag übertroffen wird, in jedem Fall aber 2-Sterne Niveau hat.

Wir besuchten das Haus an einem Freitagabend zu zweit. Das Ensemble selbst ist traumhaft gelegen. Der Eingang zum Restaurant ein wenig schwer im Dunkeln zu entdecken. Das Restaurant selbst ist in der Orangerie gelegen. Die damit verbundene Raumhöhe führt zu einer eigenwilligen Akkustik. Die Einrichtung ist zurückhaltend gewählt.

Der Service war angenehm unauffällig.

Der Abend startete mit ein wenig hervorragenden Schaum, der kreativ angerichtet war.

Begleitet wurde das Schaumlöffelchen von einem "Gebäck" das schon erahnen ließ, dass Teile der Küche beim künstlerischen Ausdruck den Säbel an Stelle des Floretts den Vorzug geben.

Die nachfolgenden Variationen von der Karotte waren indes herausragend und brachten die Aromenvielfalt mit, die wir von dem Abend erwartet hatten.

Der gebeitzte Saibling war solide ohne zu begeistern.

Der Zwischengang von der Tomate eher unauffällig.

Der nächste Fisch war dann in Raucharomen verborgen, auch hier siegte wieder Säbel über Florett.

Die nachfolgenden Steinpilze waren dann der kulinarische Tiefpunkt. Der Pilz selbst war sehr gut. Warum er dann aber von Wirtshausbratensoße und einer frittierten Krokette begleitet werden musste, bleibt Geheimnis des Künstlers.

Zum Hauptgang folgten dann "Variationen vom Reh". Das Filet war hervorragend und auf den Punkt. Warum dazu noch schweres Gulasch und ein Stück geräuchertes Lendchen gereicht wurden? Ich weiß es nicht.

Zum Abschluss eine Käseplatte. Auch hier siegte der Säbel. Insbesondere beim Senf, den wir so eher als Beilage zum Grillen als auf einer Käseplatte kennen.

Fazit: Baulich ein tolles Ensemble, kulinarisch sicher ausbaufähig. Insbesondere beim vom Haus selbst formulierten Anspruch.

Of course, it's always difficult to rate a house like this on Google. Compared to many hotels that receive 5 stars and great acclaim, a 3 star rating certainly seems inappropriate. These 3 stars therefore refer to the rumored claim of a house in which the chef calls himself an artist and which is certainly the price leader in the region and is probably only surpassed by celebrity restaurants in Berlin or Prague, but in any case has a 2-star standard .

We visited the house on a Friday evening as a couple. The ensemble itself is in a fantastic location. The entrance to the restaurant a little difficult to spot in the dark. The restaurant itself is located in the Orangery. The associated room height leads to unusual acoustics. The furnishings are reserved.

The service was pleasantly unobtrusive.

The evening started with some excellent foam that was creatively arranged.

The slotted spoon was accompanied by a "pastry" which gave an idea that parts of the kitchen prefer the saber to the foil when it comes to artistic expression.

The following carrot variations were outstanding and brought the variety of flavors that we expected from the evening.

The pickled char was solid without being exciting.

The intermediate course of the tomato is rather inconspicuous.

The next fish was then hidden in smoke aromas, here too saber won over foil.

The porcini mushrooms that followed were the culinary low point. The mushroom itself was very good. But why it had to be accompanied by tavern gravy and a fried croquette remains a secret to the artist.

The main course was then followed by “Variations of Deer”. The fillet was excellent and to the point. Why was heavy goulash and a piece of smoked sirloin served with it? I don't know it.

Finally, a cheese platter. Here too the saber won. Especially with mustard, which we are more familiar with as a side dish for grilling than on a cheese platter.

Conclusion: Structurally a great ensemble, culinary certainly expandable. Especially when it comes to the claim formulated by the house itself.

Romantisches Dinner zu zweit.

Dieses Jahr ging es zu unserem Jahrestag an diesen romantisch gelegenen Ort. Innen wie außen erinnerte er mich an Bridgerton. Ebenso die Musik. Schade fand ich, dass 15 Minuten vor 12 die Tische noch nicht eingedeckt waren und man wirklich erst ab Punkt um 12 das Atelier betreten durfte. Zumal die Deutschen oftmals sehr pünktlich sind, wäre es hier schön, wenn es bereits nach Ankunft möglich ist hinein zu gehen und dann eher erst ab 12 Uhr das Essen zu servieren.
Angenehm fand ich die Pausen zwischen den Gängen. Alles ist sehr aromatisch abgestimmt. Der Wein passt zu jedem Gang harmonisch. Da der Raum eher klein ist, sind auch nicht viele Gäste da. Dies sorgt für wohltuende Ruhe.
Wir konnten auf der Außenkarte lesen, dass es beim Abendmenü sogar 10 Gänge geben kann. 4 haben jedoch vollkommen gereicht. Mit Kindern bzw. Kleinkindern ist dieses Lokal eher weniger zu empfehlen. Es ist ein feines, gehobenes Lokal.

Der vordere Garten ist sehr schön angelegt. Im hinteren Teil der Gebäude besteht noch die Möglichkeit, dass ein Landschaftsgärtner sich austobt. Dann ist es perfekt.

Wir empfehlen es guten Gewissens weiter.

Romantic dinner for two.

This year we went to this romantic location for our anniversary. Inside and out it reminded me of Bridgerton. Likewise the music. I thought it was a shame that the tables weren't set until 15 minutes before 12 and you weren't really allowed to enter the studio until 12 sharp. Especially since Germans are often very punctual, it would be nice if it was possible to go in as soon as you arrive and then only serve food from 12 p.m.
I found the breaks between courses pleasant. Everything is very aromatic. The wine goes harmoniously with every course. Since the room is rather small, there aren't many guests there. This ensures soothing calm.
We could read on the outside menu that the evening menu can even have 10 courses. However, 4 were completely enough. This restaurant is less recommended with children or small children. It is a fine, upscale restaurant.

The front garden is beautifully landscaped. There is still the possibility of a landscape gardener working in the rear part of the buildings. Then it's perfect.

We recommend it with a clear conscience.
