I have attended an event on the 22.03.24. I can yet somehow tolerate that jackets must be handed over to the checkroom for an insane price. But I am absolutely enraged about the following: My outer wear consists of a thin down jacket and a coat that can be fixed together with buttons. The checkroom worker forced me to pay 4,60 meaning I had to pay twice!!! What a shame! I haven’t experienced that kind of attitude anywhere…. This is just miserable

In short: thievery and a bad environment to watch a theatre play .
My context was the following: the event I've participated in was a theatre play. We've booked 6 seats, all next to each other.
Before arriving at the venue, I had expected not to be allowed entry with outside food or drinks, but to ask 10 euros for a water is unbelievable. After my shock of the prices of the items on the menu, we had to wait to check 6 coats and pay for each 1.90 euros, which I didn't expect to have to pay, after anyways having payed the entrance.
The room our event was hosted in, might have been a good venue for other types of events, but to host a theatre play, a room where all the seats are on the same level is an extremely poor decision, as the people farther than the 5th row, start to see less and less the farther back you go. The ventilation in the room was also not particularly good, as after the first 30 minutes, the air was feeling heavy, and full of CO2.
Coming back to the our seating reservation. Online all our seats were next to each other, as why would we pick our seats apart. Curiously enough when we actually got there five of our seats were on one side of the isle, and one lucky seat was on the opposite side.
One good comment, goes towards the staff at the coatroom, who was not only efficient and fast, but also very nice and helpful.

I went to see a band there, so I paid for my ticket and travelled a long time to get to Köln, waited for 2 hours to get in and was almost BARRED from getting in because I didnt have CHANGE to pay the cloakroom, which is a requirement to get in. I had to ask for money from other guests so I could get in.

Nowhere did it say I would need to bring €1,90 with me to put away my coat. And obviously the staff didn’t care if I paid €30 and travelled from another city, I wasn’t gonna be allowed in because I didn’t have some coins.

Also, the seats are very uncomfortable.

The show was good but that was because of the band.

Hope they never play there again so I don’t have to go.
