Possibly one of the most popular restaurants in Düsseldorf! Interesting historical Interior design, it was extremely busy ( it is always busy every time I walk pass the restaurant ! We had difficulty to reserve the table at first, eventually booked a table two days later. The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived, almost got sent out because my colleagues had suitcases with them. Luckily I told them we reserved a table and I spoke German. The service was quick and efficient. We were served very quickly and the foods were delicious, the beer and other drinks were good., too. The quality of food and beer were fantastic. No doubt though it has good business! However, I have very mixed feelings about this historical restaurant. The service could have been more friendly. If you don’t speak German, I would recommend you to check out and to study the Englisch menus online before you go.  The dishes are all typical German foods, all very good. I would definitely recommend the traditional German dish “ Schweinehaxe”( Pork knuckle)! My colleagues were all amazed with the taste and the portion of the dish! The portion is huge! None of them finished it.😅

Fabulous place.

Traditional brewery where you can drink the Altbier brewed on site.

The food is superb. German traditional cuisine.

We had Schweinhaxe, Dusseldorf Meatballs, and, Bacon Pancake. They were all.exceptionally good. The Apple Strudel was also very good.

Service was excellent..The beers keep coming until you've had enough, in small 200cl glasses.

Lovely oak panelled room.

Nice joint, the alt beer was always coming, the food was tasty, it was the experience that one expects to have in a traditional German joint 👌🏼 and they have Tabasco!

Great place. It was recommended by a local person for the verified german restaurant. I owe the credit to him. Great food and unstoppable beer. Nice interior with historic building. Beautiful concept and building. Servers are great, too. Deserve more than 5 stars.
