Let me start with the positive part. The food is very delicious, fresh and prepared very well. This Italian restaurant's ambiance is charming but very overcrowded, with too many tables crammed in. Service is suboptimal as a result, with inattentive and slow staff detracting from the dining experience. You can easily compare it to a chaos, and I don’t blame the staff but the management for this - with so many tables and clients, it is impossible to pay high quality attention to your customers. This would have been totally fine if one was not paying 210€ (without tip) for a 2-step dinner for two.  Food and particularly all drinks are heavily overpriced, making it hard to justify the cost. Not the best value for money, plenty of other excellent options in Düsseldorf.

Lovely Italian place. Most of the crew is Italian and the food looks very traditional. I recommend the tagliatelle with lobster and spaghetti with truffle as well as the tiramisu and the salad with shrimp. I didn't try the meat but looked impressive. Service is fine. Parking close looks not so easy in the weekends and a reservation is needed. Dining room is large enough and there is a reasonable outdoor seating as well

Saittavini is an  Italian restaurant in Dusseldorf. They serve Italian and Mediterranean food. The restaurant also have huge collection of different wines.  We, a group of our friends  had dinner and it was served in the wine cellar. The decor and interior is pleasant and beautiful. The food they served were amazing. We had steak and fish. Both those dishes were served in style. The food was delicious. The staff were very courteous and attentive.

We made a reservation for 4 to celebrate our wedding day. Even though the reservation was made well in advance, we were crammed into a corner. The restaurant was informed about the special occasion but nothing special was prepared. I am not saying that a restaurant is obligated to do something, but I can guarantee you that other establishments who truly are of the same level that Saittavini claims to be, would have prepared something to make the dinner even more special. The quality of ingredients was good, but not extraordinary. The preparation of the dishes was good but again not close enough to the level of other restaurants with similar prices. Nothing special, far away from a Michelin Star level that I am sure this restaurant aspires to be at. For 100€+ per person for a full course meal (drinks included), one would expect a bit more. The waiters were extraordinary, attentive but discrete, overall almost excellent.
