Die Turmstube (Michelin-Teller, 1 Haube bei Gault & Millaud) gehört zum 5 Sterne-Ressort "Birkenhof" und ist das "kleine" Schwesterrestaurant des mit 2 Michelin-Sternen ausgezeichneten Restaurant "Eisvogel". Da beide Restaurants unter der gleichen Führung sind, wartet auch die Turmstube mit einem mehrgängigen exquisiten Menü auf. Dies zu einem unschlagbaren Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis: Ein 4-Gänge-Menü + Amuse Bouche für 49 €. Und das in Top-Qualität, in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel. Keine überzogenen Preise, auch bei den Getränken nicht. Die Menüs wechseln täglich. Dazu modernes und helles Ambiente mit großer Aussenterasse (inkl. gläsernem Windschutz), sehr bequemen Stühlen und herrlicher Aussicht ins Tal auf einen kleinen Natursee und die waldreiche Landschaft. Hier lässt es sich gut Durchatmen.

Besonderes Highlight des Menüs war das Carpaccio vom Kalb mit Pfifferlingssalat und Salsa verde. Für mich das beste Carpaccio, das ich seit langem gegessen habe, perfekt im Geschmack abgestimmt.
Ein weiteres Highlight, das Dessert: Panna Cotta mit Waldbeeren und Espuma.
Aber auch das Zwischengericht "Gyoza mit Currygemüse" und der Hauptgang "Rehragout mit Spätzle und Romaneso" waren sehr gut im Geschmack. Die Spätzle schmeckten hausgemacht, das Rehragout hätte vielleicht einen Tick weniger durchwachsen sein können, war aber geschmacklich dennoch lecker. Die Sauce war ebenso gut abgestimmt und nicht zu kräftig im Geschmack.
Die Portionen waren nicht riesig, aber nach 4 Gängen war man dennoch sehr gut satt.

Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend, Sonderwünsche waren kein Problem.

Ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze gibt es vor dem Hotel.

Kreditkartenzahlung ist möglich, vorherige Tischreservierung ist empfehlenswert.

Wir haben mit der Turmstube ein neues Lokal in unserer Favoritenliste gefunden und kommen sicherlich sehr bald wieder.

The Turmstube (Michelin plate, 1 toque at Gault & Millaud) belongs to the 5 star “Birkenhof” resort and is the “small” sister restaurant of the 2 Michelin star restaurant “Eisvogel”. Since both restaurants are under the same management, the Turmstube also offers an exquisite multi-course menu. This at an unbeatable price/performance ratio: a 4-course menu + amuse bouche for €49. And all in top quality, in a 5-star hotel. No exorbitant prices, not even for the drinks. The menus change daily. In addition, there is a modern and bright atmosphere with a large outdoor terrace (including a glass windbreak), very comfortable chairs and a wonderful view of the valley, a small natural lake and the wooded landscape. Here you can breathe deeply.

A special highlight of the menu was the veal carpaccio with chanterelle salad and salsa verde. For me the best carpaccio I have eaten in a long time, perfectly balanced in taste.
Another highlight, the dessert: Panna Cotta with wild berries and espuma.
But the intermediate dish “Gyoza with curried vegetables” and the main course “venison ragout with spaetzle and Romaneso” also tasted very good. The spaetzle tasted homemade, the venison ragout could perhaps have been a little less mixed, but the taste was still delicious. The sauce was just as well balanced and not too strong in taste.
The portions weren't huge, but after 4 courses you were still very full.

The service staff was very friendly, quick and accommodating, special requests were no problem.

There is plenty of free parking space in front of the hotel.

Credit card payment is possible, advance table reservation is recommended.

With the Turmstube we have found a new restaurant in our favorites list and will definitely be back very soon.

Zwar recht gutes Ambiente und akzeptables Essen.
Eines geht jedoch gar nicht:
Hotelgäste und externe Dinnergäste werden servicemässig in zwei Klassen unterteilt. Während Hotelgäste das volle Dinnerprogramm erhalten, bleibt für externe Gäste - trotz Nachfrage - nur ein stark abgespeckter Service übrig ....
Da verzichte ich dann doch lieber jetzt und künftig ganz !!!
