You wouldn’t think that such a small town in north Saarland has this good of a restaurant. The ‘Kaminzimmer’ is one of Alexander Kunz’ two restaurants, awarded the Bib Gourmand by Michelin.
The food was overall truly delicious. I ate the best fish soup I ever tried. Also, they offer ‘Salzwiesenlamm’ which is a rare speciality from Brittany that you can’t find that often. And guess what, it was amazing!
Overall great value for money. They even have a surprise menu every Thursday, that is not to expensive.

Made a reservation almost two weeks in advance to take our German friends to say thank you for helping us while in Germany.  Called the night before to confirm the reservation and the restaurant had no record.  I have suspect they just dumped me in order to book an event.  Do not recommend this restaurant.  Certainly. Ot what you would expect from a Michelin Star rating.order to.

The food was good, but we literally waited one hour between the starter and the main, and another hour between the main and the dessert. Another group next to us also had to wait this long and complained very loudly with the staff.
