Am 05.02.2022 waren wir zu zweit im Esszimmer zu Gast. Wir wurden gleich sehr freundlich begrüßt und an unseren Tisch geleitet. Ich hatte mich für das klassische 6-Gang-Menü einschließlich korrespondierender Weinbegleitung entschieden, meine Begleitung für die entsprechende vegetarische Variante. Eine kleine Abwandlung der Speisenfolge, die daraus bestand das Ei in einem Gang wegzulassen war problemlos möglich.
Nach der Bestellung wurde uns ein wohlschmeckender Aperitif serviert und passend dazu ein äußerst leckerer Küchengruß, bestehend aus drei wohl arrangierten Kleinigkeiten. Kurz darauf gab es noch einen weiteren kleinen Küchengruß und danach noch hausgemachtes Brot mit Butter. Bevor es überhaupt mit der Gangfolge losging, durften wir also bereits drei raffinierte Gaumenfreuden genießen.
Nun ging es mit dem ersten Gang los, der dem in nichts nachstand. Es gab Garnelen in einer feinen Sanddorn-Koriander-Marinade, im vegetarischen Pendant Süßkartoffeln als Ersatz. Es folgten unter anderem ein exzellent abgeschmeckter Wolfsbarsch, Kaviar auf einem Kartoffelplätzchen und perfekt gegartes Lamm, bei der vegetarischen Variante einen Safranrisotto, Sellerie auf Kirschen und Balsamiko und Möhren auf Joghurt.
Dazu wurde mir eine erlesene, fein abgestimmte Auswahl an hochwertigsten Weinen serviert, die den Genuss abrundeten. Vor dem Dessert gab es dann noch einen weiteren süßen Küchengruß in Form eines Limettensorbets. Es folgte dann das eigentliche Dessert als Traum aus Passionsfrucht Mango und Kokos.
Wir ließen es uns nicht nehmen noch die optionale Käseplatte zu bestellen und wurden mit einer riesigen Auswahl feinster Käsesorten zu hausgemachtem Baguette belohnt. Zum krönenden Abschluss wurden uns dann noch mehrere hausgemachte Pralinen serviert.
Dieser Abend war ein phantastisches Erlebnis und das Essen in Qualität und Geschmack herausragend. Besonders hervorzuheben ist noch die beachtliche Anzahl von insgesamt 5 zusätzlichen, exzellenten Küchengrüßen, die wunderbar abgestimmten Getränke, sowie die Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit unserer Gastgeber.
Das Esszimmer hat mindestens einen Stern verdient und wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

On February 5th, 2022, the two of us were guests in the dining room. We were immediately greeted very friendly and shown to our table. I chose the classic 6-course menu including the corresponding wine accompaniment, my companion chose the corresponding vegetarian version. A small modification to the menu, which consisted of leaving out the egg in one course, was easily possible.
After ordering, we were served a tasty aperitif and, to go with it, an extremely tasty kitchen greeting, consisting of three well-arranged little things. Shortly afterwards there was another small kitchen greeting and then homemade bread with butter. Before the course even started, we were already able to enjoy three sophisticated delicacies.
Now we started with the first course, which was in no way inferior. There were shrimps in a fine sea buckthorn and coriander marinade, and the vegetarian counterpart had sweet potatoes as a substitute. This was followed, among other things, by an excellently seasoned sea bass, caviar on a potato biscuit and perfectly cooked lamb, and in the vegetarian version a saffron risotto, celery on cherries and balsamic vinegar and carrots on yoghurt.
I was also served an exquisite, finely balanced selection of the highest quality wines, which rounded off the enjoyment. Before dessert there was another sweet kitchen treat in the form of a lime sorbet. The actual dessert then followed as a dream made from passion fruit mango and coconut.
We didn't miss the opportunity to order the optional cheese platter and were rewarded with a huge selection of the finest cheeses with homemade baguette. To round things off, we were served several homemade chocolates.
This evening was a fantastic experience and the food was outstanding in terms of quality and taste. Particularly noteworthy is the considerable number of a total of 5 additional, excellent kitchen greetings, the wonderfully coordinated drinks, as well as the friendliness and warmth of our hosts.
The dining room deserves at least one star and we will happily come back.

Wir waren am 21.05.2022 Gäste im " Esszimmer " - Oberschwäbischer Hof in Schwendi. Hier wurden wir durch und von der Familie Reisch zu einem 3 Gänge Menue eingeladen. Was soll ich sagen...es war jeder GANG, egal im Menue oder die sehr vielen Grüße aus der Küche eine Geschmacksexplosion ! Es war jedesmal eine neue Überraschung am Geschmack und für das AUGE. Die kleinen DINGE mit denen alles so Liebevoll und Herzlich hergerichtet wurde ! Fast zu schade um es zu Essen...Das Personal überaus zuvorkommend und sehr sehr Freundlich. Das Ambiente ob aussen oder innen war TOP. Und wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Dieses RESTURANT ist nicht nur 5 STERNE Wert !!!! Wer auf ein sehr gutes Essen und Geschmack wert legt, sollte hier einmal nach Schwendi kommen !!! Vielen DANK an die Familie Reisch und ihre Mitarbeiter für diesen bezaubernden ABEND und die Wohl und mit sicherheit verdienten 5 STERNE.

We were guests in the “dining room” - Oberschwäbischer Hof in Schwendi on May 21st, 2022. Here we were invited by the Reisch family to a 3-course menu. What can I say... every COURSE, no matter the menu or the many greetings from the kitchen, was a taste explosion! Every time it was a new surprise to the taste and to the EYE. The little THINGS with which everything was prepared so lovingly and warmly! Almost too bad to eat it...The staff were extremely accommodating and very, very friendly. The ambience, whether outside or inside, was TOP. And we will definitely come back. This RESTURANT is not only worth 5 STARS!!!! If you value very good food and taste, you should come to Schwendi!!!
