Very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet is really good (continental breakfast and sweet baked goods. They even have a juicer where you can make your own veggie juice (they provide the veggies) for breakfast.
We were in a "suite" which is just a slightly bigger room. So read the details of how big the room is you are booking. Also check their website directly as we got a better deal there.
We had room 609, which was towards the back of the hotel and it was quiet with "views" of the backyard and buildings on the other side.
There is a big building going up on the other side of the hotel. They were not working on it while we were there but I assume at some stage this will be noisy.
So ask for a room on the back of the hotel to be on the safe side.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main train station (don't worry, you can't hear any trains) and 10 minutes walk to the centre of the city. That was very convenient for us.
You can also get beer wine in the evening in a small bar in the hotel.

What a great stay we had at Hotel Metropol Munich. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance of Oktoberfest. The hotel was great at communicating with me prior to arrival, helping me navigate getting there, and what to expect.
We were always greeted with a smile and very helpful staff. Our room was a very nice size and modern. They kept it clean daily, which was really nice. The breakfast buffet was nothing I never seen before and it was incredible. All of the food was amazing. From eggs and sausages to yogurt and curd, as well as a vast display of pastries and bread. You did not leave breakfast hungry.
I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Metropol Munich. They did a great job and we will be back.

Love your hotel. Location is so conveniently close to the main station and shopping precinct, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast you have is absolutely fantastic- even for vegans like us! Will always stay with you when we are in Munich.

This is a hotel nearby Hauptbanhof, new and super clean. Got to be one of the cleanest I ever stayed in despite it advertising there’s no regular housekeeping during stay. Value for money.

Very close to the Hauptbanhof station, and easily accessible by any of the Munich public transport options. It was right next to a large construction site but very quiet in the room-not a problem at all. The room was ready when we got there around noon, which was amazing after a long travel day, and it was very comfortable. The shower didn’t have a door, so it did make the floors wet but it wasn’t a big issue. There is air conditioning in the room that was easy to operate, and also free coffee in a machine in the lobby. Easy to walk to Marienplatz from there, or hop on the public transit.
