The story of Atelier Gourmet

Atelier Gourmet, located in Munich's Haidhausen district, has been serving modern French and Mediterranean cuisine since 2005. Founded by Raffaella Correngia and Philippe Bousquet, the restaurant is celebrated for its intimate setting and high-quality dishes, earning recognition in the Michelin Guide.
The atmosphere is nice and you can hold a normal conversation - it is not too noisy. The service is excellent and the food and wines are really something to try and enjoy without rush.
The dishes are a variety of contrasts that you can enjoy with your friends or yourself. The price is according to what you get, at least during my dining experiences.
As a suggestion I would recommend some climate control (not just a ventilator) as the summer is hot and it will tend to be so.
The highlight definitely is the current extra starter they have (scallops on a buckwheat crêpe with kimchi mayo, sesame and basil - absolutely breathtaking).
The service is super cute and personal, giving flexibility and pacing the meal nicely. They create a relaxed atmosphere but also let the time fly by with their entertainment.
The ambiance is cozy, definitely professional and inviting: lots of tables for two and an overall small space make it intimate.
However, it could use some more soft and warm lights and some color. The decoration on the tables is cute though, with different small fresh flowers on every table.
Overall very recommendable and definitely a great price for what you get!
