Part of the combined ticket to the Acropolis and in my opinion the second best thing to visit. This was the ancient assembly area of Athens and was where everything from military parades to the government was housed. Maybe you will get lucky like we did and see one of the wild turtles which brings you good luck! Another outstanding Instagram spot as you can tell from all the pictures I made my friends take of me!

Highly recommend going right when they open - we did and had a wonderful time! We were here in mid-October, 8am and had wonderful cool weather, no line, and not many other people around so we got to enjoy the sites in a nice tranquil peace. Very nice walking area, the museum is a must as as well. Lots to check out and learn! We spent a good hour and a half here exploring all the little locations. We found a few extras by using Google maps so we were sure not to miss anything.

We also bought tickets in advance and bought a multi-pass so we were able to just scan and go - definitely recommend.

I didn't know how massive this archeological site was until I stepped inside! You could easily spend around 2 hours slowly exploring the ruins and enjoying the surrounding scenery.

From here you also got one of the best views of the Acropolis. Some highlights of the site are the renovated Stoa of Attalos that is now a museum, and the one of the most well preserved Greek temple - Temple of Hephaestus. Overall is was a very informative and enjoyable visit, highly recommended.

If you love history this is the perfect place for you. It was inspiring to walk in the footsteps of philosophers, artists, statesmen and others that have been here. Very nice views of the Acropolis, as well. Highly recommended.

Had as part of the acropolis 6 site ticket - well worth it because you get up to 5 days to enter all the other sites after the acropolis.  Didn't actually need because it was free - last Saturday of the month. Really great walk around, really interesting and not nearly as busy as the acropolis. On a Saturday afternoon too! Well worth a visit. Water points at museum currently out of order and shade is a valuable commodity so bring a hat!
