We went in the morning and had the place almost entirely to ourselves.

A well preserved Greek temple dedicated to the god of craftsmanship and fire. The temple formerly acted as a church since the 8th century, and had been constantly maintained throughout its history, which explains why the temple is so well preserved.

You will need to climb a small hill to access the temple. It's only possible to explore the temple from the outside as you're not allowed inside the interior for preservation reasons. This temple is definitely one of the highlights in Athens.

For the price (8Ɛ), this is an excellent place to go for a walk. The temple, of course, is the main attraction. But the grounds are nice and admission includes the museum. The museum is well executed and the layout is thoughtfully done in chronological order. It helps get a sense of the historical timeline. A very nice spot in the heart of Athens.

The place is awesome it is were socrats was walking.. it has a lot of remains like Zeus altra and other goda . The temple is in a good shape it is amazing to think about the time it maintanied there
The muesuem has a lot of statues of Goddess , written on stones and a lot more. It is a most seen location I visited in my second visit to Athena and I regretted not seeing it before
