One of the best beaches I have been to. Not too far from Chania but you need a stronger vehicle if you are 4 people in the car. We could swim in middle of November, it was almost empty. You need to light hike around 15-20 minutes from the parking lot. The water is crystal clear. For sure during the summer it’s super crowded so recommended is to visit off season

I will start off by stating that the effort you put in to reach the beach is totally worth it.

There's a big area where you can park your car which is not tied to any sort of payable amount, but it is a bit concerning since the goats that are strolling around might climb on top of your car.

Expect a downhill walk besides harsh rocks that are indeed dangerous. There are chains nailed in the rocks at some places which you can use for stability.

The beach itself is not so big which may result in tight spaces where you might or might be able to sit.

The waters are crystal clear and beautiful.

Do expect to be bothered by a lot of goats. If they smell food will for sure reach out to you and try to grab the food by force.
It is a nice touch and many may say that it works as an attraction as well, but it might get annoying at some point. fortunately, they are tamed to an extent they do not appear to be hostile, however, I would be cautious around them.
there is nothing down there to get anything to eat or drink. so be prepared and bring your own stuff.

Brilliant afternoon out.
Great climbing down and back up to the car park ...but be very careful.
The goats are good and keeping you company but I would recommend NOT taking food down with you as the goats will be in your bags eating it.
One of the nicest swims I have had .... Great experience.

AMAZING Unique views. Goats on roof of vehicles n everywhere. steep cliffside hike, 10x easier (quicker short distance but difficult trail) than ballos. Just be careful, take your time. Kids should be careful if any. Swims, visibility bad for snorkeling, cliff jumps, rock climbing to jump in

We went down with 9yrs old child. The trail down to the beach needs your mind-focus when descending, and certain strength when ascending. It is not too dangerous but does require orders when the visitors are in crowds. The view and water as well as the rocks aside are just beautiful and fun for a half day enjoyment here.
