Welcoming and kitchen open late without a reservation. Ordered several Hungarian staples. Flavour of the goulash was very good but it was not so rich. Schnitzel was good. Excellent potato salad. Nice coffee. Fast and efficient service.

We were drawn to the restaurant by the cozy heated patio.  We were greeted and seated quickly.  Our server Hadassa was great with good menu recommendations. She was patient while we looked over the huge drink menu.  The espresso martini was amazing,  as was the beer and wine we ordered.  Food came out in a timely fashion and was delicious.  Good portions and fresh food.  When we return to  Budapest this will be our first stop.

We stumbled across this great little restaurant and were not disappointed. Sitting in the covered area at the front was nice and warm on a cold evening.

This was matched by the warmth of the welcome. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable.

Our food was excellent. So enjoyable that we returned a few days later and had a very similar experience with different food.

Highly recommended for excellent food, decent portions at a sensible price and a lovely atmosphere.

I have been there several times. My favourite restaurant in the city centre. Penne mushroom is excellent. The service is very kind and fast as usual. Good place with a golden elite vibe and usually jazz music. Truly recommend it

Sometimes, a wide variety of dishes on a menu is a sign of poor quality. Café Vian is an exception. The dishes are generous and flavorful. My chicken was so soft it was melting in mouth... It's also clear that the staff work in good conditions. All the waiters and waitresses are not only smiling and friendly with the customers, but also with each other. It's really pleasant. My waitress was particularly nice and attentive in advising me on my choices and was checking on me during the meal.
On top of all that, the prices were really reasonable.
I had an excellent meal, thank you!
