The place is new and nice. One bathroom for 2 rooms. Bathroom sink in the room, which adds extra comfort. Kitchen with all is needed.
Great location.
The only trouble was with the key as somehow they hadn't sent us email with the room key in advance. We couldn't get into the building and had to call to find out what to do.

Clean guesthouse. Not too crowded. 2 bathrooms to share for 5rooms. Next to a street with ongoing traffic but windows are good. Blinds OK. No staff in person available. All rooms accessible through codes on the doors

The single room was spacious but there were some weird things about my stay here.

- I was told in writing that there is laundry guests can use, but in reality, the laundry machines are in a room behind a door that says “Staff Only” on it. Also, when I checked inside the room, every single washer dryer, including the small ones that I was supposed to be able to use, were full of linens/sheets.
- The water coming out of the faucet in the bedroom and the bathroom on the lowest floor smelled strongly of sulfur (like what the geothermal areas smell like.) It also gave the hallway a faint unpleasant odor.
- there isn’t a toilet paper holder in the bathroom. I just thought this was a strange choice…

This charming guesthouse seems a work in progress. Closed during Covid, new owners are shaping this accommodation up quite nicely. Quiet and seemingly remote, the guesthouse is close to everything that matters in Reykjavik.  😎👍
