Beautiful garden with an awesome greenhouse cafe! My buddy said it was the strongest espresso he’s gotten in the city (within 3 days). Loved the place even though it was cloudy. Also, biggest bumblebees I’ve ever seen.

This is a huge botanical garden where trees and plants are well marked. I wouldn't make a special trip to come here but we were in a nearby campground and ended up taking a through. There are lots of paths and it was quietly lovely; we ended up here for an hour walking around. A lot of thought went into the planning and execution of the garden- it's a lovely garden that even has a little cafe inside.

Great garden! You can see a ton of Icelandic fauna! They’ve also started to expand their arboretum to include trees from every continent. The cafe inside is wonderful. Cozy, warm, and filled with plant life.

Visited on a sunny Sunday in late may. Really beautiful botanic gardens. Quite compact - can cover everything in a hour. Very well maintained. Systematic garden is like a library of 300 species of plants native to Iceland. Alpine section good. Arboretum seems recent but pleasant. Quaint pond with mini Monet bridges. Altogether very pleasant. A peaceful oasis not far from the town. Oh and it's free!

Amazing place to get away from the noise and relax during nice walk while admiring all the fascinating plants grown there. You can also take a break in cute café greenhouse - great coffee and tasty sandwiches or bruschettas.
I wish they had some more information about where to buy some of the plants and how to keep them alive in inceandic harsh climate
