Had a nice stay, however, they were issues.

Initially, booked a Deluxe room. However, like others have stated I wasn't actually able to stand under the shower. I'm 6ft ish so can't believe I'm the only one that couldn't. But it was late and too tired to do anything about it until the morning. A longer cord would have sorted out these issues.

Was moved rooms after speaking to reception, but had to be a downgrade. Additionally, had to wait 2 days to be able to speak to a manager about a reduction in rate.

We both struggled to understand what made this a 4 star hotel. There wasn't a pool or gym (we were aware of).

The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. Oddly, really small cups for hot drinks that would over spill from the auto 'espresso' machine.

The staff were generally pleasant and it's a great location, but still not a 4*.

Lastly, booked with a certain card that offered some benefits. Unfortunately, was not offered these at any point and should have said something, but didn't

Stayed here very recently and overall, we had a pleasant stay but I'm rating 3 stars just because it just doesn't compare to the second hotel and the Airbnb that we stayed in later on in the week. Hotel Reykjavik Centrum had mostly everything that we needed and the staff were friendly and helpful and we were close to the city centre but the room was very old and run down. No slippers were provided so I got really grubby feet, which wasn't very pleasant. It was quiet though both nights we stayed there so at least we got a good night's sleep which is the most important thing!

We stayed here for 5 nights. Perfect central location for restaurants, bars and nights out. So much is within walking distance. Rooms were quite spacious for a 3 star hotel, and basic amenities that you expect, like a safe, mini fridge and a coffee machine.

Service was good and friendly. They resolved our room/bed issue swiftly and gave us different rooms, and check in/check out was smooth. A very relaxed hotel which perfectly represents Iceland and provided an excellent base to come and relax after long days inside ice caves, ice mountains and aurora chasing!

We recently stayed at the Centrum hotel and had a magnificent time.

The hotel is located fantastically central and walkable to pretty much everywhere.

The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel staff throughout the hotel are amazing and can not do enough to help you and offer advice.

We will 100% be back again very soon.
