Excellent hotel in a great location.  Every staff member we interacted with was a pleasure.  The spa in the basement was great to unwind at the end of the day.  Our room had breakfast included and it was one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had.  Excellent baked goods and pastries with fresh food.

The room was modern, clean, and in very good shape.

No parking on site, but street parking is free overnight.  If you need to leave the car for an extended time (we had a pre arranged tour and the daytime street parking has a 3 hour limit) or just prefer to leave it in a garage, Traðarkot is a quick walk and is pretty affordable.

Absolutely loved our stay in this charming hotel. Impeccable service with friendly helpful staff. Lovely, comfortable and well-appointed rooms. Spa/Sauna was a nice treat and we had the place to ourselves when we visited it. The breakfast was fantastic and never crowded. Happy hour offering more affordable drinks was appreciated. It’s walkable to so many attractions and restaurants, the location is ideal in this regard. There was some street noise, but that was to be expected in the heart of town.

Deserves 6 stars. Great location in the middle of town, yet incredibly quiet and comfortable. The bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've been in and was tempted to just stay in the room on my trip more so that go out and explore the city. Room is cozy, well appointed, and very very clean. Worth every penny.

Well appointed hotel.  High standards with clean rooms, good materials and smart design.  Bed very comfortable.  Gym was well equipped and clean.  Beware - the other reviews were correct about noise - hotel is right next to bars and clubs that are very loud  until 5AM on the weekend.  Would not recommend if you need a quiet hotel.  I slept in my noise cancelling headphones.

Our first trip to Iceland couldn't have started out any better.  A Diamond member, I was surprised by a complimentary upgrade to a suite (room 210).  The bar area only has small plates and not really suited for a sit town meal, but the plates were very good.  The breakfast buffet was out of this world.  Anyone who complained about it, must be missing a few bolts between the ears.  Highly recommend this property, a rare gem in the Hilton family of properties these days.
