A small museum but very well made, explains how the fishermen where working, from the start until they sold the fish to the markets or even exported to the world. I highly recommend a visit to this little museum for a better understanding of the life in Iceland and for appreciating the fish we have on our plates.

Very interesting use of an old fish factory setting to have the maritime museum. Great use of some of the old equipment (like the large ice crates to display exhibits with face backlit ice). Many displays and also several videos running. Overall one of the better museums in the city and a nice waterside location.

Good museum plenty to see and very interactive. Excellent way to spend a couple of hours. Kids under 17 are free too which is a bonus!

Small, cozy and interesting. It can take you about 30 min to see everything. Ticket price is not justified. But it’s still way a more interesting place than the Whales of Iceland

Exceeded expectations for this small and somewhat out of the way museum.  Very engaging and informative exhibits and interactive activities including a photo booth and recipe table.  Highly recommended! The gift shop is small but substantial.
