Great food with focus on Icelandic cuisine. The fish is fresh, tender, delicious, and masterfully prepared. The fermented shark bites are an experience for adventurous eaters (they are tiny, come frozen, are tender, and have a strong smell and taste of ammonia).

Food was very tasty. We did the grill menu (6 courses) and everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented.  We opted for the wine sharing and for the price, I wanted more than a Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc. They weren't bad wines but I was expecting more quality for the delicacy of the dishes we received.

The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was very cozy and warm. It was a shame that other guests were so casual. Service was very friendly and smiley from Margaret. Attentive but gave us space to enjoy our experience.

Overall, lovely experience but for £350 for two people I wanted nicer options of wine

We chose the Lobster Tacos as well as Sashimi and Sushi, and were not disappointed. The quality of the food was consistently high and very flavorful.

Despite the higher prices, the restaurant is very popular. The service was always attentive and friendly, which enhanced the overall positive experience.

For Reykjavík, we found the price-performance ratio to be reasonable, but it’s advisable to check the prices beforehand to ensure they align with your expectations.

Overall, Sjávargrillið is a recommended spot for those looking for excellent cuisine in a modern setting in Reykjavík. A reservation is recommended.

I rate restaurants on these criteria… creativity, quality of the food, service, atmosphere and value.  Sjávargrillið met or exceeded my expectations in all these
categories. The Ling fish lunch special was incredible and a must try.  I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my favorite place we ate at. It was so good. The bread is so tasty. The  salted butter comes out on a lava stone. Such a unique presentation. If my wife would have been with me, she would have wanted to eat here multiple times.

The appetizer was excellent. I loved the beef with the cheese and the crispy bits. The fish was one of the best fish dishes I've ever eaten. I apologize for not including a picture of the dessert as I ate it without even taking a picture. It was that good. I lost my mind!
