Truly a grand, spiritual experience. The building is a wonder. Audio guides and staff are available for questions. We got there a bit late and it was getting dark, so not the best time to see the stained glass.  Docent let us know we were free to return anytime during the remainder of our stay on the same admission ticket. And we were welcomed back for mass - fair warning, photos and "touring" not allowed during mass.

Today we visited the gardens at St. Patrick's Cathedral for a wonderful community Halloween festival.

We were delighted that the event was free!
The gardens were beautifully decorated, and there was so much to see and do.  There were food trucks with delicious dishes, and craft stands had handmade Halloween souvenirs.
Children loved getting their faces painted and dancing along to the music played by the live band.
The fire juggler was amazing!
We had such a fantastic time as a family.  More seating areas would have been helpful, but overall it was a fantastic event.

Beautiful church dedicated to the patron saint of Ireland. His relics are at the Archeology Museum, but it’s still nice to visit because they have different “areas” of worship in this cathedral, each with their own unique characteristics.

The ticket comes with a free audio guide and you can join the free tour as well. I’d recommend buying the €15 combination tickets with Marsh’s library which is about 2-3 minutes walking. Both the library and the cathedral are absolutely beautiful and in a way, connected to each other.

Check out the beautiful stained glass windows, the floorings and the objects hanging on the walls. There are many interesting things in the church, I think if you’re really interested, you can easily spend 1-2 hours looking around.

Sn. Patrick's Cathedral is truly remarkable. Enclosed by railings and featuring its own park with benches, a fountain, a small playground, and beautifully maintained flower beds and lawns, it's an ideal spot for a picnic while admiring the impressive architecture.

The interior is breathtaking, with stunning stained glass windows, side chapels, and areas for quiet reflection. The cathedral holds an extraordinary amount of history; it's incredible to think that kings were crowned here during a very different era in Ireland's past. The list of Deans stretches back centuries. This magnificent and captivating cathedral is also very welcoming.

Regular guided tours are available, but you can also explore at your own pace with self-guided audio handsets. A visit to St. Patrick's is highly recommended when in Dublin.
