I had a fantastic stay.
The hotel is charming, well-maintained, and offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable stay.

The room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was especially comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The restaurant was a highlight—delicious food, beautifully presented, and a great selection of dishes. The breakfast was fresh and well-prepared, setting me up for the day.

The location is also excellent, with easy access to local attractions and transport links. I would highly recommend Pine Lodge to anyone visiting Dublin. Looking forward to returning soon!

Overall, considering the price, the quality wasn’t so great as I expected from Booking pictures and reviews. The rooms looked worse than in the pictures. Reception staff were rude, and their behaviour didn’t match what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel but at least managers apologised for their staff behaviour, I can imagine it can be difficult to find competent and polite employees for night shifts. Breakfast was okay and ladies serving breakfast were nice and kind.

Unfortunately evening receptionists were very rude and arrogant. Only later I found out that I am not the first guest complaining about the receptionists.

When I arrived, they put me in a room with windows facing a noisy service area and clearly differing from the room I booked. In the morning, I was woken up by loud noises and workers right outside my window (who could even see through the windows inside my room). The room was a bit old and rundown, with peeling walls and old carpets.

Hoping for a solution, I went to the front desk and I was promised to be given another room. Later in the evening (around 10 pm) the receptionist explained he needs to move me and give me another room - back to the basement floor.

The receptionist was apparently trying to get rid of my complaints saying the room had just been refurbished which is the reason why it looked differently than on booking (this was a complete lie since the room on booking had a large bathroom with a bathtub whereas the room I was offered had a tiny shower). It was clear that the hotel’s reception is either grossly incompetent or simply didn’t care about their guests.

In addition to being incompetent, the receptionist was very rude and arrogant and I had quite an unpleasant discussion with him in the evening. His manager later apologised and offered me to change my booking free of charge. Managers were nice and tried to find a solution, however, they should do something about their employees.

This charming establishment, having undergone a recent yet tasteful refurbishment, splendidly combines the grandeur of old Irish style with impeccable cleanliness and modern comfort. The refined interiors exude a timeless elegance, where every corner radiates a sense of calm sophistication, making it the perfect retreat for those seeking both luxury and tranquillity in Dublin.

Noteworthy for those with an automobile, the free parking provided is a rare and appreciated luxury, ensuring a seamless and carefree stay. Upon arrival, one is immediately greeted with the warmth and hospitality that Irish service is renowned for, setting the tone for a most pleasurable visit.

The room itself was simply impeccable—exceptionally clean and charmingly appointed. However, to be ever so peachy, I must mention that the bathroom, while pristinely maintained, could have benefited from a slightly larger radiator, as the bathwater was ever so slightly cool. Additionally, while the overall cleanliness was superb, a few bathroom accessories did show signs of wear, with some rust appearing on the fixtures. A minor detail, to be sure, but one worth noting.
As for the breakfast, it was nothing short of extraordinary. The spread was handmade and prepared à la minute, a delightful indulgence for any discerning guest. The pancakes were, to put it plainly, superb—fluffy, light, and utterly irresistible. My children were particularly enraptured by the delectable offerings, a testament to the high quality of the food and the care with which it was prepared.

In conclusion, Ariel House offers a delightful blend of traditional Irish charm, modern comfort, and impeccable service. It is a perfect choice for those who seek a refined, yet homey, place to stay in Dublin. Highly recommended, indeed!

I had a wonderful stay at Ariel house, the location is great, quiet but close to the public transport and downtown, the staff is helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the quiet garden room, access to parking and the lovely breakfast.
I would recommend it to business and leisure alike.
The front room which self service bar is particularly cosy and enjoyable, it adds a real “home away” touch.
The bedding is very comfortable and the rooms are well equipped. I particularly appreciated the casting option for the TV.
I really enjoyed my stay as a solo traveler.

My husband and I stayed here on the night of an Irish international rugby match. It was so convenient to the stadium especially after the match. Less than 5 minutes from our seats! The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I am Gluten free and there was no problem getting delicious food.
