Excellent set menu. The quality of all of the courses was excellent and the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. The venue is small and unfortunately for us, the atmosphere was ruined by a lady on a table of 5, who liked the sound of her own voice for the 2 hours we were there. Not the restaurants fault, but I'd recommend asking for a table away from the door, where the bigger table is, if you're looking for a more intimate ambience.

Amazing experience overall. The front of the house just puts you at ease (julien) very knowledgeable do not hesitate to ask for drink recommendations. Food is well thought out from flavour to texture just amazing use of ingredients.
The restaurant is in a busy area parking could be hectic alternatively public transport is frequent in the area.

Of all the Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to this one was really cosy and the pace of the meal was perfect. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because there were 2 dishes I didn’t really love. I had the fish for my main and it really wasn’t anything special, I definitely expected more. The starters and dessert were 10/10 though.

Went here for the first time almost three years ago and couldn’t wait to get back, but I had to! It was immediately my favourite restaurant and retains the title. I can’t praise the food, wine, service and atmosphere enough. This place is a gem.

Mae served an exquisitely executed fixed menu with a thoughtful wine pairing list. As a solo diner I did not try the Irish cheese addition at the end of the meal as I was stuffed! The menu featured fantastic locally sourced venison which was unbelievably tender. All the accompanying dishes from the amuse bouche to the whole wheat sourdough and compound butter to apple tart tatin were delightful and flowed together in a tour of modern Irish cuisine. Not pictured was the first course which I may have greedily consumed with roasted pumpkin, smoked ham, and durrus tortellini.

I don't know that I had a favorite course. Honestly, I was in total happiness eating each dish with its wine pairing over the course of two hours. If you can get a reservation and have an inclination to splurge, this is a meal you won't forget.
