Brilliant - large gallery of art through the ages. I had an hour so I did the recommended tour. Entry was FREE and the tour guide was FREE - and what a collection. It was quiet and a wonderful way to spend a hour. Don’t miss if you love art

The staff were terrific from start to finish. Insightful, welcoming and forgiving (forgot to turn off my flash)

The National Gallery is definitely worth a visit. They exhibit many interesting works by lesser-known artists. It was enjoyable because the artworks were very well lit. We also saw some wonderful works by world-famous artists of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It is very good that the tour is free. The minus is that you couldn't put your wardrobe anywhere.

A large gallery with a variety of art that is sure to satisfy everyone's tastes. The gallery is free to enter, and there is a free audio guide.
There are maps available, though a donation is requested. It is easy to get lost walking around the gallery, so I would suggest taking one. There are no way markers to help you find your way around.
The staff were all friendly and happy to have a chat.
The gallery is fully wheelchair accessible and there are disabled parking spaces outside the Merrion entrance. There is a loop system for the hearing impaired.
There are toilets which were in a reasonable condition. These include disabled toilets.
There is a cafe and a souvenir shop.

Good size museum with a very decent collection of important Irish and European paintings. The collection surprisingly also contains many Flemish masters. Lovely airy building as well, combining both modern and classic architecture.

In my honest opinion, this museum should start to charge admission. It's absolutely worth it!

It was my first time visiting an art museum.
Since they have a free guided tour, It helped me to gain some basic knowledge about different styles of painting. You can visit the website regarding the timing of free guided tour. Also they do have a creative space for drawing which is more interesting. The architecture and floor plan of the museum is  also amazing. There is a cafeteria as well as a stationery shop, It has many things including scarfs, fridge magnet, books, postcard, soft toys and so on.
