Had a wonderful informative walking tour from Richmond Barracks to Kilmainham Jail today. Niall is passionate and committed to his local history and the rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Would highly recommend this tour. It was great to see the building so lovingly restored and open to the public.

My father went to school here when it was known as St Michael's. This museum is extremely interesting, especially if you have connections to the history of it. The refurbishment has been very well done and has a great cafe too. Friendly staff and it's a great addition to the community. Will be revisiting soon!

Hidden gem in Dublin, really nice place with beautiful window colour lights, historic building, green open space and coffee shop. Plenty of parking around. Amazing staff

Richmond Barracks is steeped in history and well worth a visit. I was very surprised to hear all about it’s past and never realise the part the Barracks played in the 1916 Rising. I’m from Dublin and was not aware of the history of the barracks before the visit.

Our guide Naill, was fantastic and very knowledgeable and told the story of the barracks and its many residents both while it was a barracks and afterwards. A visit to Richmond Barracks also included Goldenbridge Cemetery, which also contains so much history.  It is only a short walk from Kilmainham Goal, after my visit I felt that it played a more significant in the events around the 1916 Rising.
