Great experience. The 7 course menu was very good, if a touch expensive. The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming, when many similar restaurants can be stuffy. They were accommodating when we had to pause our meal due to our baby waking up in the room, and allowed the babysitter to settle the baby in a bar adjacent to the restaurant- they were so understanding and gracious, which made a real difference to our stress levels. The 2nd dessert with strawberries was not my favourite as the berry flavour was overly rich, however the honey dessert was excellent. Other highlights were the bread and the lamb dish.

From start to finish it was a wonderful experience! The staff, atmosphere, wine and food was outstanding. We went with a group of friends and everyone thought it was fab. Can't wait to return.

Out of the many Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to, this has been one that was disappointing to me. The flavors were not overly creative nor unique. The best part of the menu was the dessert cart. However, everything else was not mind blowing. I had the opportunity to visit Aniar in Galway which also has 1 Michelin star and that’s a must visit. If I had to pick, I would skip this one and go to Aniar.

Exceptional. Best Micheline restaurant that we’ve been (so far :D) Service was amazing which made it even better. Due to government restriction, we had to go for 3 course because we didn’t stay in Mount Juliet. However, definitely would like to come back and stay as well.

Went for the nine course surprise tasting with wine pairings when the girlfriend and I were staying here. I’ve been lucky enough to check of a damn good number of Michelin starred restaurants in my time, but dammit does Cormac Rowe really pull one out of the hat here!

Dishes come out at a steady but reasonable pace, along with wine pairings to compliment. Wine pairings were a wonderfully eclectic set of tastes ranging from an Australian Riesling, to a delectable Italian Syrah blend.

Courses featured a distinct and consistent tang which is my girlfriends favourite palette so that went over very well. Especially the AB and scallop course. The  pigeon was an absolute hit on my end. Cooked to perfection.

Really I can not recommend this place enough to anyone in and around the Kilkenny region, and beyond.

Service was generally very good. I would say by way of comparison this place would easily compete in Dublin as against L’Ec and Chapter One as competition. Nine course tasting menu is not available to order after 2030.
