Fab experience, definitely worth a short trip from Dublin, depending on the traffic 🙃🙃

We went for a tasting menu priced 75€ is exceptional value,

7 courses excecuted perfectly, especially with tricky stuff like souffle and quail indeed shows Sams pedigree,

Their wine list has very low markup and you can get some stunning wines for a great deal!

I have very mixed feelings, starters, bread, soup tasty, 4 main courses were a tragedy, unsalted potatoes, tough meat, my wife ordered duck instead of fillet she got 2 slices of rubbery meat with unfried skin and additionally unseasoned, salad dressing was just lemon, 2 beers on the menu, desserts very weak but above all paying 40e for a main course I would like there to be something on the plate, a portion for a small child. Honestly I don't understand how you can start so well and end so badly. For 4 people we paid 320e and left hungry and very disappointed. I went, I saw, I tried unfortunately I won't go back there, the restaurant tries to be exclusive but it lacks the basics. As a restaurant run by a chef with a Michelin star I simply don't understand the idea and even more so the execution.

The Fish Pie was delicious and the Mushroom Dish on sourdough equally so.  Would definitely have both dishes again.  Liam looked after us and his service was exceptional.  A very tasty menu, different.  Side portion of beautifully cooked Chips.  Really lovely seasoning on side, quality ingredients and exceptional service.  A beautiful freshly baked and warm baby brown scone (nutty and lovely flavour and texture) served with homemade butter, really lovely.  Compliments to the Chef and the lovely owner Sam. Two words to describe everything:  So Lovely.

Bramley has recently come under new management (since May 2023), with Sam Moody taking over. Sam is ex-chef from the super luxe Ballyfin Desmense, and it really shows. We stopped for lunch, which included a gorgeous little salad of chicory & blue v cheese, a chicken Caesar salad and a portion of homemade sausage roll. Lovely service and the decor is beautiful.

Best part is that dogs are welcome, including being given their own water bowl!
