I visited Nando's for the very first time on Friday, Jan 17, 2025, before 2:30 PM during my Ireland trip. I was skeptical about coming here. I heard it was a hyped-up place that was available all over the UK. However, I was surprised and enjoyed my food! I ordered: 1/4 Chicken with Regular Coleslaw and Regular Spicy Rice - €13.20 (as of Jan 2025) - SoOoO their chicken was alright - not too salty. The roasted flavor was decent but the chicken meat was a little dry. The BEAUTY of this dish is the sauce! I tried their Lemon & Herb, which was good - tangy. But you need to try their Peri Peri sauce, which is self-serve. The sauces are made of African Bird's Eye Chillies, lemon, and garlic! I believe I grabbed the medium and it was soOo yummy! The sauce is what made the whole meat elevated. Not too spicy, adds more flavor and punch to the dish, and I can't stop thinking about this sauce! You really have to try it haha. - I picked coleslaw (I needed some 'veggies'!), and the spicy rice was good - nothing spectacular, but they were good. I'm not going to lie; this dish is a little overpriced, but the sauce got me googly-eyed, lol. We ended up ordering online, which was very handy. Our friend had gone to the restroom and the server offered to place her food back under the warmer when he brought it out to prevent it from getting cold. Very thoughtful! Seating: They have two floors of seating available, and we sat on the first floor. No problems getting seated. All in all, I would recommend that you try Nando's at least once during your trip!

I'm familiar with Nando's, coming from the UK. During my trip to Dublin, I wanted to check out Nando's to see how their international locations compared. This particular location is located on Saint Andrew Street, over multiple levels, with the majority of seating upstairs. The menu is pretty much the same as back home in the UK, and I was even able to use my Nando's card to collect rewards. The decor/vibes inside the restaurant could have been like any Nando's back home. I ordered my usual order from Nando's back home, a Medium Chicken Butterfly Breast, with Peri Chips and Spicy Rice. I was disappointed with the quality overall, again, it looked almost identical to what I'd expect in England. I found the rice to be bland and dry; it tasted like a different kind of rice and wasn't good at all. The fries also didn't have much flavour, and the chicken was also overcooked. The seating area had multiple tables close together, and I was sitting next to a large group who were becoming very rowdy and noisy, so it wasn't the most pleasant of dining experiences either. The staff were friendly, as I had an allergy, a manager took my order, and she was the one who dealt with my table during my experience. She seemed friendly and happy to help. Due to issues with the quality of food and others mentioned, I would not recommend nor return here. 2*

Nice clean restaurant in hustle of South City Centre not far from Temple Bar & shopping. Many establishments to visit. The building is several stories tall. Toilets being at the very top. Restrooms are clean. The food : Portions are small. I did get what was suppose to be the connected 2 chicken breasts w 2 sides. A homestyle baked mac cheese & 1 corn cob. The 2 breasts were uber uber small. This was about 20 euros. Another side of mac & humus w pita. This was dinner for my girls. Again, portions very very small. Total was about 32 euros in all. I wonder if this place has a problem with rando's coming in because when I went to pass the 2nd floor to go to the top toilet floor. The 2nd floor guy was all over us asking why are you up here , what do you need. When I finally made it back downstairs after the restroom stop waiting for food, the gal came to me & said what do you need why are you at the counter. I explained. She said go sit & the bench. The other initial fella told me you are only allowed to sit on the bench while waiting for takeout. No where else.

Nando's has become quite popular in the UK, which has become quite nostalgic for me. After a long day, we came here for dinner which was also super close to our hotel. Nando's is pretty simple known for their Portuguese flame-grilled peri peri style chicken. It also comes with a variety of sides and sauces, which is the best part. Between the two of us, we got the Full Platter for 2 (€29.95). This was more than enough food for both of us, which included a whole chicken and 4 small sides. We opted for peri chips, cole slaw, spicy rice, and garlic bread. Make sure you grab the different sauces to add to your chicken too! I have to say it wasn't as amazing as the first time I've had Nando's, but it's still yummy. For the price, it's also one of the more affordable meals we had while in Ireland. It's a good filling meal with lots of variety.

Before you read, I'm an American tourist. No, I'm not your basic becky with spray tan and dyed blonde hair. I'm southeast asian-mexican-american mix, so I know what I'm talking about for food. Service was great, very friendly and timely. The menu is easy to read and follow along. Bathroom is on the third floor so it's a lot of stairs. They have an elevator but it's only for disabled (understandably so). Maybe I should have ordered something different, but I didn't know what dish they are specifically known for. I'm not mad. With the rating. 3 stars isn't a bad rating for this restaurant. It's a solid spot. I only had one dish, and I didn't get to try anything else. I liked the flavors of the sauces!! And the medium heat definitely was medium (I wasn't sure what to expect because although it started in South Africa, I feel like it's more known as a European chain--idk). Solid experience overall. Seems very reliable because it's a chain. ++ points for free wifi Would I go back? Sure. Would I rather have this as a meal than McDonalds? Absolutely. Is it the best food in the world? No. Did Niall Horan raise my expectations a little high? Yeah.

Being a teen and being a One Direction fan (specifically a Niall Horan fan) but living in the States, I've always wanted to try Nando's. What better way to try it than in Niall's home country? During my music trip around Ireland, I could not pass up the opportunity to try this classic chicken dish. Got a quarter chicken leg, some chips, and mint peas. Definitely wish I had gotten the rice instead, I was not a fan of the mint peas!!! Thankfully the chips were not soggy and the chicken had an amazing flavor to it. I always had a drink with every meal and at Nando's, I chose a Rosé. The sauces they had were so flavorful as well but I wish the spicy sauce was actually spicy. There was no spice to it at all! Overall, lovely vibes, and lovely food, and I hope to come here soon again. Also: I met an amazing busker in the same area, Jacob Koopman! Niall and Lewis Capaldi sang along with him as he busked when I wasn't there but I was so thankful to meet people with amazing experiences like that.

Did not meet expectations. I am well familiar with Nando's products but have only been in Nando's in South Africa. The service was poor. The chicken was just an unappetizing breast. The fries were disappointing. The atmosphere was crummy. Maybe 3 stars is too many.

I found this place on my trusty Yelp app and had it booked marked before landing in Dublin. I had Portuguese style chicken before in Montreal so I would assume it would be pretty similar. Well it wasn't the same as in Montreal but it's its own and taste great. When we first arrived, there was no line to wait for a table. We got a table immediately. We check in with the host and she escorts up upstairs. She asked us if it was our first time here and we said yes. So she said here is your table, your number is 22 and you just order at the register and they bring the food out to your table when its ready. We decide on getting the meal platter for two with bottomless drinks which I didn't know was really hard to find in Ireland. The bottomless drinks that is. Coming from the US, its pretty common to get bottomless drinks at restaurants etc. We place the order at the counter and our food comes out in about 15 minutes. The two sides I got was fries and garlic bread. The fries were really tasty and crispy and so was the garlic bread. It had great garlic taste. The chicken is season with Peri Peri seasoning and they you have these sauces that you can dip your chicken in. My favorite was mixing two of the sauces, the mild with the garlic medium heat. If your looking for something different and willing to split a Meal with someone, getting the meal platter for two with the bottomless drinks is a great choice and it think great value. I'll for sure be back here when im in Dublin.
