Stopped in for a quick lunch with a coworker. The space is rather small and fills up quickly, but they do take call-aheads for larger groups. They have a variety of ramen and sushi options. The service was quick and super friendly. I had the chicken ramen and it was delicious! Loved the broth and grilled chicken! On a cold, rainy day in Dublin is was a perfect match for me. Scale of 1 - 10, I'd hit it again.

Having only been living in Dublin a few months I hadn't found my local sushi haunt just yet. Last week however the craving became too strong and I went on Just Eat to find one so I chose Sakura for no particular reason, and I'm glad I did! I got the Sushi Platter (36 piece) to share with my friend. The norimaki and hosomaki were just scrumptious! I really like the nigiri also aside from the squid one but that's just personal preference. As we got it delievered I was also delighted that I came with little bottles of soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. Will definitely order again!

I'm loving this place and it's only opening weekend. The food is top quality, wonderfully fresh and super tasty. I have yet to try the proper raw fish sushi but judging by everything else I am sure it will be excellent. They do takeaways and they plan on starting a delivery service soon. There is also a small relaxed restaurant which seats at least 10 people and lets you BYO for a corkage of €3. Japanese pop music was playing in the background and the staff were friendly, helpful and seemed excited to be involved in the new business. My order took about 20 minutes to make so in future I will order before leaving my house which luckily for me is only 2 minutes away. On my first trip I got a takeaway of gyoza (5 dumplings which came with a fresh salad), vegetable fried rice and ebi tempura and avocado roll (8 pieces). We also got complimentary miso soup. The presentation of the food was wonderful, it tasted delicious and there was plenty of food for the two of us to share. It came to €17 after the 20% off opening week offer. I can't wait to see how this business develops and wish it the best of luck.

Really like this place, have gotten takeaway on three occasions and have been impressed so far. Loses a star on some minor issues. Sushi is fresh and delicious (just wish they didn't use the pre-bought pink pickled ginger, more artificial/sweet tasting, may be personal preference but not nearly as nice as the freshly made white ginger I've gotten in many other sushi places). The chicken katsu curry is tasty but the serving of curry sauce should be more generous. The woman I've dealt with each time is super pleasant. Delivery times can be a bit slow on busier evenings.

It had been a while since we wanted to eat sushis, but our first experience with asian dinner to go in Dublin was pretty bad and since sushis are a delicate dish to realize (and by that I don't mean hard to cook, but the freshness of the fish is still really important, especially to me who's really obsessed with that after I had a food poisoning in Japan once... eww) So we wanted to order online but the restaurant being not too far away from home, we decided to take a walk and get it by ourselves. I was first a bit scared because the place is one of that bad sushi, looking a bit dirty or old from outside, be we were really craving for it so we got in. We ordered a salmon platter, salmon cream cheese and avocado maki, and egg roll sushi - I'm usually not a fan of this one, I think it's most of the time very tasteless, but my boyfriend likes it so I decided to give it a try -, we paid something like 27€ for this all, which is I think not really expensive for sushis. The fish in it was really fresh, I was actually impressed by it's freshness, it was really shiny, and not dry at all, the color was really nice... nothing to say about it's freshness. Even the egg roll were actually pretty good, not the best I've tried, but it had this little japan taste I couldn't describe, it was there ! I don't know about the other dishes, but sushis are definitely good here, it's from now my next-to-home-sushi-place !

Decided to try Sakura recently as it's very nearby and I'd passed it many times and kept meaning to sample! Joined by my friend and brother we ordered a few dishes between us on a Friday evening. The food took 1 hour and 15 mins to arrive which was annoying but they did sent some free minerals and extra miso soup along with our Order. I had the chicken bento box which was ok, I liked the California rolls but the terriyaki chicken was extremely tough and rubbery. I also had asparagus rolls (not sure of correct name now!) which were fresh and tasty and I shared chicken gyoza with the others and I really liked those too. My brother had the Sakura cha-Han with just chicken, no seafood and I thought that was very tasty but again with the bizarre rubbery chicken! Overall, I'd try it again as most of it was ok.

Waited for almost 2 hours for two sushi rolls and upon calling them, they kept saying "5 minutes more" which extended a further half hour. Ended up cancelling the order. If you want to be a takeaway business, sort yourself out.

Rolling in from a shoot at 10pm I was all set to eat the contents of my kitchen, which proved tough as the cupboards were bare! Take out was my only option at this late hour and I decided to try and be a bit good, and order a bento box from Sakura, and was glad I did. For a measely €9.90 I got a miso soup, one of the best I've had in Ireland, gyoza, veg tempura, salad and 4 pieces of sushi with a generous heaping of rice. I devoured everything, and next time will certainly order the gyoza as a full portion, it was a stand out, and came with a yummy sauce with hints of ginger, sesame and honey that I have not tried before. The wait for delivery was a bit long, but that was my only complaint, and I live so close I think next time I may just stroll down and pick it up. Also, worth noting is that they have a sit in option and BYOB!

**takeaway only Decided to give this place a go to mix it up (usually get zakura on Camden street). It was about the same price but took nearly twice as long to arrive. The rolls were not as tasty, especially the futomaki. I'm writing this the day after and I've been feeling queasy with an unsettled stomach all day - so make of that what you will.
