Fun Japanese/American fusion place. Their on the stone option let you cook your own steak/tuna at the table. Quite fun to do it as a group. Desserts are just ok, nothing with wow factors. The ginger cake is a bit savory than expected, paired well with the vanilla ice cream. Service was good and staffs are attentive.

I tried several dishes here The service was good, the manager was excellent and working hard making sure everyone was happy, it was a busy place. The atmosphere was really nice too. The food was really good too, we tried the following: Tuna Tartar (~€13), my favorite appetizer here by far, refreshing and the flavors are balanced and great My friend got the cumin ribs (€36), fall off the bone, my friend loved it Friend rice cakes (~€8), I liked it, but my friend didn't like the sauce, it was too sweet for them Miso Salmon (~€15), super good, nice and refreshing Tuna Boa (€18), it was crispy, and all but it wasn't for me, like I didn't like it at all, the manager was great and got me a replacement that I preferred instead. It was refreshing to get American quality customer service here in Dublin. Truffle Fries with Parmesan cheese (~€6), it was good Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ginger Ice Cream and Miso Salted Caramel sauce (~€12), super good All in all will definitely go back, great food and night out.

Nice trendy Asian spin on a steak house. The cuts of meat are all 100% Irish beef and it lists the butchers. You can choose to cook your own on a hot stone or have the kitchen do it for you. The crispy broccoli was delicious.

My boyfriend made a reservation here for dinner during our visit to Ireland, and it was a lovely time. Rustic Stone is an elevated spot -- the decor is stylish and warm, leather and wood, reminds me of hearth-style cooking. People are dressed up. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick. We decided to share one main and several starters/sides for dinner. The two of us ordered the (1) borlotti bean minestrone soup, (2) the salt cod brandade, (3) the asian quail on a stick, (4) the pork pappardelle, (5) the truffle chips, as well as two cocktails. It was far too much food for the two of us (surprise!), but my favorites were the minestrone (thick and tomato-y) and the quail (tender and well-cooked, but you have to finagle with some bones). The truffle chips are very thick cut, which I don't usually prefer. But overall, a beautiful evening! Everything was very good, nothing mind-blowing, but a good restaurant for a fancier night out. Would recommend. PRO TIP: Sign in to the restaurant WiFi, then check your email thirty minutes later for a coupon for free Prosecco. We both found ours in our inboxes only after we'd left for home!

Visited this restaurant for dinner on my 1st night in Ireland. I did not make a reservation, which is very unlike me but that was because I did not know what time I would be done with my tourist activities for the day. The restaurant was busy as I entered it on a Thursday night around 8pm, but I was seated promptly. The restaurant had a very modern vibe. Minimalist decor, and low lighting made for trendy setting. Service was friendly, I was offered menu recommendations, and my server was attentive even though I was a party of 1. Ireland in my mind was not a foodie city before I traveled here this year. Now my mind is changed. There are a lot of restaurants serving very unique and creative menus. Lots of hardworking chefs really working to turn the perception of Ireland's food around. I had traveled to the country in 2006, and recalled bland food that focused more on quantity than quality. Just in the past 10 years things are changing for the better, and Ireland is really being put on the map for their culinary scene. Dining alone I had quite the hard time deciding on what to order since a lot of items caught my eye. I figured I would stick to a standard 3 course meal--ordering an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The restaurant also had an extensive cocktail menu, wine and alcohol selection. I opted for wine since most of the cocktails were gin based, and nothing really struck me. I like the concept of the restaurant were items are served on a hot stone to finish cooking at the table. It is a very unique concept. The menu is clearly marked as what is served on the stone, and what is not. If you opt to get items on the stone then you are semi responsible to ensure your food is cooked to your preferred temperature. I started with the prawn lollipops, which were served on a stone. The prawns were very tasty; the avocado puree and ginger poached melon added a really nice depth. My only compliant is the appetizer was pretty pricey for 3 sticks of prawns. For my entree I ordered the braised beef shin with truffle tagliatelle. This entree was very tasty, and a very hearty portion. The beef was braised perfectly--the meat was tender and infused with flavor. The pasta was heavenly--cheesy, and creamy, and the truffle really stood out. I somehow managed to eat the whole entree because it was just so delicious. I thought the entree was properly priced for the size of the portion, and the taste. I finished my meal with a rose and orange blossom trifle. This was a very light dessert, but was a great end to my meal. It was a really nice combination of flavors. I would highly recommend dining here on your journey to Dublin. It is a trendy space with a great selection. Get a taste of Dublin's culinary scene!

Best food in Dublin. Hell, best food in the UK dare I say? Their sister restaurant Fade Street is a different menu for sure. Was not impressed with the tapas at an event hosted there. It was a bummer because we fell in love at Rustic Stone and assumed it would be the same. Anyway, their soups and pastas were beyond. The most memorable meal I've had in ages. Nothing pretentious, just incredible well created dishes. Easily the most rec'd place in my three weeks in Dublin. (Ended up going to the upstairs Japanese fusion spot later in the week. Someone I was with said it was the best of that cuisine she's ever had.)

I ate here twice while in Dublin, and while I loved the food, I had two vastly different experiences. The first night was later (after ten) on a Friday, as Rustic Stone serves later than many Dublin establishments. Even though it's trendy, the staff was quite friendly and very attentive. Plus, I loved the food. So when I needed dinner on Sunday, I decided to go back to Rustic Stone. Sunday dinner did not go so well. I called to make a reservation and was told that none were available for a party of one near the time I wanted, but I could walk in and would probably have a wait due to the restaurant's popularity. I then thought to check Open Table and there were plenty of available reservations. Score! I headed to Rustic Stone and the place was definitely not packed. I check in with the hostess, who happens to be the same woman that I had talked to on the phone. Who then happens to be a co-server. I think my main server was new-ish, but he did a good job. This woman was so rude and condescending that I could not believe I was in the same place as Friday night. As good as the food was, the experience was awful. I was planning on a three course meal with wine, but went with just two courses so I could leave sooner. So that's my issue with service. Now, on to the food. Friday, I had a drink, the bread board, and the penne pesto. The fruit-based cocktail was strong. The bread is excellent. A hearty, rustic bread pairs well with the hazlenut oil baba ganoush. I loved it so much that I ordered it on Sunday as well. The penne had plenty of pesto and was covered in Parmesan but it was tasty and filling. On Sunday, I also tried the chicken wings and the halibut. I'm not sure if Ireland has Korean fried chicken (BonChon), but these wings approached that level of crispness. They were flavorful, albeit quit sticky. Halibut is a favorite of mine, and it was cooked "on the stone". They bring you a super hot stone and your meat or fish. I really liked it, and it gave the halibut a great flavor. The walnut relish was a nice pairing, as well. Plus, it came with a super fresh salad. I love the chef's use of different nuts and nut oils, as it really adds to the dishes. This place has a slight branding issue, as I can't tell if is Rustic Stone or Stone at Rustic. The chef talks to you through the menu, which I somewhat like, and definitely appreciate the menu key. The vibe is trendy yet warm. The location is great and so is the food. But the service is too inconsistent to warrant a visit.

Omg, The worst hamburger I've ever had in my life, look at rhe picture of it and how small it is, how are you supposed to eat something like that? I asked for medium and it was well done and the top was burnt it was tough to cut and the bun was so stale. The only good thing about it were the polenta fries, they were great. My friend had the pasta with pork and you can see from the picture how unappetizing it looks and it was just extremely bland the pork had good flavor but that was the only thing good about it, neither one of us finished a quarter of either dish, it was so bad We came here because we wwent to their restaurant Faith on Saturday night and it was amazing but this place is god awful

Very good food, we all got steaks on the stone and it was delish. Great ambience and nice service. What was unexpected is that you will leave smelling like hot meat :) The cauliflower side was amazing.

Absolutely the best meal I have had here in Dublin. Our server Joe was phenomenal. Their steak was on point as if it's over cooked it's your fault. Their ambiance was great and their staff seemed quite knowledgeable about what they are doing. I had the faux gras burger that came with the most amazing truffle chips (fries in American.) The fries came with delicious cheese sauce on the side. The burger was dry aged beef that had faux gras and amazing sweet onions with some goat cheese on it. The beat $30 burger I have ever had. Try this place. I can't give this place enough of an review.
