Listen all you people who complain that this is really Spanish Tapas, have you ever been to Cuba? The people are starving there, hence all the home made rafts floating 90 miles to Florida. The food here is was good. Ordered off the early bird menu, 5pm to 7pm. Ordered 3 plates and were enough for sharing. Had a sangria and a beer, total was around 45 Euro for 2 people. I would defiantly stop in again.

The bright interior and peppy Cuban music can't help but lift your spirits, especially on a cold dark Dublin day. The staff are as warm and as flavoursome as the food they serve... Not that I have taken a bite of them, but it's more an ode to the several nationalities working there. Great food list, excellent lunch time specials and also a place that you can go and have a coffee or beer and avail of their free wi-fi without feeling rushed. They also hold salsa dance nights, and Tuesdays between 4pm and 7pm they have informal converstional English, French and Spanish, all are welcome! To me that somes up the ethos of this spot, great simple honest cheap food with an eclectic clientale. You will always leave here with more colour in your soul!

This place really has fallen from grace into the depths of average muck. I was here just before Christmas for some Chrimbo food and drinks with some friends. My friend had it booked and you can't be too choosey the week before Chrimbo as it's a nightmare to get a reservation. Mojitos in a Cuban restaurant should be good. Bahahahahaha No. AWFUL I shared a bread and dips with my friend and ordered the paella for my main. The dips were fairly nice and the bread was pretty OK too. So I was quite content with this part of it. However, shop bought tortilla chips as part of a bread an dips plate? Hhhmmm. Hello Eddie Rockets! So the worst part of this experience? The paella! There was a choice of chicken and chorizo or seafood and chorizo. I asked what seafood was in the dish and the waitress said prawns, mussels and squid. I asked could I have it without the mussels. She said no. I was like em OK I will just pick them out. The only way I could describe the seafood in this dish is like it came from a frozen mixed seafood packet from ALDI. Disgusting. Tiny little prawns. The chorizo was also terrible. Bland. Flavourless. The texture was not what you would expect from a good quality chorizo. I left majority of the dish. Absolutely horrendous. I have a feeling I will be made come back here at some stage with friends and I may stick with the patatas bravos and bread as these were average but not inedible.

A nice place to wander into if you're looking for cheap, cheerful & decent food. The staff are super sound, they give off that "we'll look after you" vibe that so many restaurants lack. The menu is an assortment of spanish inspired food that doesn't require much thought when you're ordering. I've eaten the paella (€5 on Monday!) and also the spanish omelette with cheese & bread and it's all nice, if a little bit safe and unexciting. It's got a slightly rustic feel to the place, like you're stepping into your nana's cottage in the countryside. I've heard this place can be good for drinks, but I've only ventured here at lunch times so can't comment on this yet. Overall, it's kinda impossible to hate or love this place. It plays it safe and does exactly what it wants v. well. A nice fallback option if the more experimental cafes & restaurants get on your nerves.

Yummo! I loved their chicken/seafood paella. Also order a platter of the Mixto which was very tasty as well. The decor was rather interesting. They have all of these Latino country flags strung about the place. They also had a rickety ukulele lying around which I picked up and belched out a few chords. Service was very attentive. No complaints there. Bar service is not so hot. I ordered a mojito which was overly sweet. Tasted almost like juice. Just stick to the food and you'll be fine.

This was one of the first places I ate at when I came to Dublin. It's a small place and I think they play music in the evenings/weekends. The atmosphere is nice and there's a good amount of food traffic/people reading books to make it nice. As for the food - it's pretty good and relatively inexpensive (which should be taken with a grain of salt - this is still Dublin we're talking about). I had the chorizo and potatoes, which turned out to be pretty darn good. The sangria definitely helped me overcome my jetlag as well :)

Havana is gorgeous. I used to go to the one on Grantham Street all the time - it's brilliant. The food is delicious. From cheese and meat plates to paella, chorizo stew and gorgeous soups. They warm you to the core. And they're good value. I love the Spanish meatballs with patatas bravas - a large one is just €10.95 and boy is it large. Their desserts are lovely too and it's the type of place you'll want to sit on. They do salsa in the evening if you're feeling more energetic!

When I go out for dinner, I like to go to places where I don't know how to make the food. I mean, do I really want to pay 12 Euro for a lasagna when I could buy the ingredients myself and make it for a fraction of the cost? And lasagna isn't very exotic, is it? Well, that's why I like Havana. The food is different from what is served in other restaurants and I don't feel like I'm being being cheated out of my money. Despite being named after a city in Cuba, the cuisine is mostly Spanish. The menu entices you with such dishes as paella, Spanish meatballs, calamaris and Chorizo Frito. I ordered the Havana meat platter to share with my friend and a bottle of wine. The place was packed so we ate at the bar where I got a good view of all the action in the kitchen. Another good thing about this restaurant is that they offer Spanish classes to customers. Me gusto mucho Havana!

Havana is always busy in the evenings, particularly on weekend nights, as its keen prices and mojito pitchers prove an irresistible draw for the hungry gourmet and the broke student alike. Inside, service is rough and ready - the waiter may balance something on your head as he navigates a tricky corner - but friendly enough. The food is the usual tapas dishes, including fab Spanish meatballs and lentil and chorizo stew.

Lovely dinner for 2 people in my birthday! Cheap and delicious food, I am really happy to find another favorite place for food in Dublin!
