We went there without reservation, host was kind to accommodate us inside. But if you want a table outside which is amazing get it. The food was really good. We tried their soup and truffle pasta both were amazing. They deserve to be on Michelin guide.
Their complimentary bread selection was great too!

Positano’s best!

We visited recently and could not find a single fault with our dining experience at Next2.

The staff were kind, attentive and fun. Our server Mario was incredible and looked after us all night - even chatting about Australian and Italian football with us.

The food was 10/10 and we can’t recommend highly enough. We had oysters, ravioli, seafood pasta and 2 desserts.

We also received complimentary snacks from the chef - appetisers and desserts, both were a great touch.

Can’t wait to come back to this incredible restaurant.

Located on the hilltop of the charming town of Positano, Next 2 delivers an unmatched culinary experience!

I booked a table for 5 beforehand and was situated it the inside dining room surrounded by beautiful wine cellar. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and guided us through the menu.

3 complimentary bread baskets and a complimentary starter for each person was served which was a very nice touch. The bread was soft and fluffy and perfectly baked.

For starter we opted for grilled octopus on a base of mashed potato and topped with corn chips. The octopus was cooked well and the chargrill gave them a nice smoky flavour.

Main course no1 was short cubettone pasta with lobster and toasted nuts. Amazing dish with a variety of textures from the soft al dente pasta to the crunch of the toasted nuts. The lobster was poached beautifully and the sauce brought a real nice balance to the whole dish.

Second Main dish and a must try was the Risotto.
A three layered dish with basil pesto at the bottom, middle layer of yellow tomato and the top layer of risotto, which is sealed off with a garnish of black garlic sauce. A very well constructed dish with a mouthful of flavours. The acidity of basil pesto and the sweetness of yellow tomato with the creaminess of risotto reflects the quality of the michelin star this place truly deserves.

The third and final dish was the veal fillet and cheek. The veal melted in your mouth and extremely tender, you could tell it was made with a lot of passion and love.

To end the night the chef sent another complimentary dessert bites which included strawberry jelly, chocolate and biscuits.

The staff was very attentive and explained each dish as it was served. The wine selection is great with endless choice.

The whole experience was phenomenal from start to finish, a must visit for when you are visiting Positano!

If we could give this establishment 10 stars, we would. This is a must when visiting Positano. The service, the meal, the dessert, the decor, all the flavors a pallet could want and more and the atmosphere, and of course the view, all phenomenal, simply PERFECTO!!. Mario and Francesca made our evening extra special with the exceptional service. We enjoyed each and every course as well as some wonderful surprises from the chef. The risotto was the best we have had and the lobster was incredible. We happened to choose it by chance and so grateful we found it. It truly was amazing, every bite was better than the next. They went out of their way to celebrate the girls, in a big way, just so kind . Every server was fantastic and so sweet. The Pear with sweet ricotta dessert tasted even better than you could imagine! I can say, as a sweet-a-holic, it was the best dessert I have ever personally had. The flavors all blended like magic and the preparation as you can see from the pictures was gorgeous. We are sad to leave this place behind. It’s three hours later and we still can’t stop talking about this experience. Better than words can describe. Don’t miss this one. If it’s the only thing you do while here, it will be enough!

This was by far the best service we received in Positano -- and that's saying something because the service was all around fantastic! The food was great, the wine was great, lovely outdoor eating -- a good time!
