The views from this public beach overlooking Positano's gorgeous bay is breathtaking and one of the best views in Amalfi Coast. We passed by during noon, and it was too busy. We came back around sunset and was much more quiet, so better to come around this time!

It is very touristic of course, but so worth visiting.

2 star because it has nice views. Other than that it is cramped, public area is only 25% of the beach, the rest is a private area for the hotel if you want to buy a sun bed and also for water activities office. The beach itself is filled with different size boats which I can see it being polluted. The swimming area for the public is really small.

we arrived at 12:00 and it was a bit too crowded for my liking unfortunately. way too many people, and if you walked on the narrow streets you could barely breathe or move because of the heat and movement. other than that, the view was remarkable.

This is a good introductory beach when you visit Positano.  You can watch the ferries come and go, delivering people and taking others to Capri, Amalfi or other destinations.

Fornillo is more secluded and desirable, in my opinion.  Chairs and umbrellas available.  Great little snack bar with cocktails available.  Hey, it's Positano.  You can't go wrong.

Be aware that all these beaches have smooth gray stones.  Water shoes are highly recommended.
