We spent the week here last month and our group all truly loved their stay. Luigi and his family are the best. Come to breakfast with a full appetite, it is the biggest / best breakfast you'll have. The rooms were great and very clean, the restaurant was just so good, I can't over state that the meals we ate here were some of the best on the Amalfi coast. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the water, very romantic. Luigi was so accommodating with driving us to Positano or into town or a restaurant nearby. They do have parking at their hotel for your vehicle, but we chose not to drive much while along the coast (it's crazy). Frederico and Elisa were super helpful at the front desk, Daniela was our chef one night and made a variety of meals, so we could try a bunch of different favorites, it was all awesome. She even made me a birthday cake for my birthday. Hotel is in a great location to town, other coastal towns, the hiking trails. Great stay, highly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and wished we had stayed longer. Luigi and family exceeded our expectations in all aspects. They really are the best hosts always trying to make you feel comfortable and at home. Breakfast is unbelievably good! Service is outstanding and the rooms are comfortable and have all you need… we recommend this place 100%

Amazing, cordially treated, spectacular customer service, the rooms are spacious and clean with a balcony, depending on what you book, you need to make a reservation. It is decorated with vibrant colors, neat bathrooms, a beautiful place with sea views, where you can enjoy a sunset, the aria and its surroundings. You have a bus stop next to the hotel, there is a port nearby, everything is super romantic. I would definitely come back, 100% recommended.

What a phenomenal stay. We stayed four nights in June and had the best experience. The hotel was just as beautiful and clean as the pictures showed with a stunning view, but what really set hotel Pellegrino apart was their incredible service. Federico was so helpful ahead of our stay, helping arrange transportation from Naples. Everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay; from helping us make reservations to Alessia giving recommendations on things to do exploring the Amalfi coast, Luigi drove us and picked us up in Praiano and Positano! The food was also amazing. The absolute best breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, eggs and more. Dinner was also fantastic and convenient with a great view! This hotel is a 10/10!

TLDR: One of the best hotels I’ve ever been to in my life, please consider booking here for an amazing experience in the Amalfi coast.

To start, we have to give the biggest thank you to Luigi and his family and employees for one of the most incredible stays and highlights of our trip at their beautiful hotel in Praiano. I had been to Amalfi before and stayed in Positano, however knew that my partner and I would appreciate a next door town that was quieter and a little less touristy but had access to everything. Hotel Pelligrino is exactly that.

From even before the trip, Luigi’s son Federico was helping us coordinate how to get to Praiano as we initially were going to take a train/bus/ferry. When we decided against this, he promptly organized for us a car service (which was much more reasonably priced than others I had googled) to take us from Naples directly to the hotel. When the car was late, he negotiated a discount for us and helped us figure out where the driver was. I’m not sure who else manages the WhatsApp but from morning till night, they are available to help coordinate reservations and are available to help plan your trip. Even last minute plans. Our boat got cancelled due to storms and we were able to book a reasonably priced private one right away for the date we wanted, which would not have been possible on viator or air Bnb.

Additionally, given we were celebrating a special occasion, and my partner has neck issues and we were kindly upgraded to a nicer room with a king bed and wonderful mattress to sleep on in order to accommodate this. In general, if they can, they often upgrade complimentary.

The rooms are clean and well maintained with gorgeous amalfi ceramics. So much space and really comfortable and quiet with good air conditioning. A bathrobe and slippers are available upon request and we’re so cozy!

Luigi is available for what seems like any time during the day and evening to take guests wherever they need between Positano and Praiano - this service is so key in the Amalfi coast, where taxis and car services can cost 70 euro for just a short trip. He is so kind and accommodating, and picked us up later at night once during a rain storm. It’s so clear he cares so much about his guests and their experience.

Now let’s talk about the food - the breakfast and dinner was the best we’d ever had, in all of our time in Italy. Daniela one of Luigi’s other children is a trained chef who along with their mother and other employees makes and prepares all the amazingly cooked meals. We did all breakfasts at the hotel (incredible custom service with fresh pastries, orange juice, made to order eggs, meat, cheese, fresh bread) and 2/4 dinners. This is an absolute must. In addition Alessia their other daughter provides such a kind service and is key in running the operations as well.

Overall we will miss this hotel and will think about it often. It’s such a beautiful small hotel in Praiano and was paradise for us. We are itching to come back and truly hope they never sell the place. It’s a hidden gem of the Amalfi coast and we would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
