Very beautiful walk. We started from Pontone and walked to Scala. The waterfalls were not too spectacular (you have to pay at some point to continue to the other waterfall which we didn't do) but the views were! Mostly the second part, close to Scala. We got lost at some point, probably around where the land slide must have been two years ago, but eventually we arrived back on the road. Some parts are very narrow close to the cliffs, so always careful!

Take the lower route (left) to get there. The other way is insane stair climb and it’s in the sun. So much easier to go down those stairs if you want to do the loop.

We did the whole loop (starting at 1:20pm) and like other reviews said, give yourself a total of 3 hours with breaks and some chill time at the Nature reserve (5 euros per person). I will also add that we left the reserve right after 3pm and the employee working the gate left soon after so I assume it closes around 3:30pm. It’s gated so it’s not a place you can easily enter.

From Almafi to the falls it is a big leg workout. Hundreds of stairs and then a beautiful path in the forest to the falls.

Valle delle Ferriere is a nature reserve. It is a beautiful quiet place to get away from this loud world. This trail is not easy. You have to take 11km or more (it depending on the route) You can take at least two different route from Amalfi and Pontone. The trail is natural, it starts in the residential area at the end of the city then goes uphill in the forest. There is a point where the mountain collapsed. Don't panic, just climb through it, after that the trail is good again. If you run out of water, there is a tap by the road near the water that comes with drinkable water. You can visit along the way the ruins of an iron factory and a paper factory, not to mention the small and large waterfalls along the way. At the and of the trail is the great waterfall, 20m high. You have to pay 5EUR fee to watch it but I think it is worth it. I recommend to bring some sandwiches and some drink and wear a proper hiking boots.
